Ako po ✋ Quite literally the one thing that gen of Filipino parents got wrong, imo I was actually jealous of my Mexican friends who grew up speaking both Spanish and English fluently Oh well. Never too late to start learning. Laban na 💪

Yeah. A lot of the people I know speak perfect English as well. All while managing their Filipino. I understand why, but kids feel disconnected when they don’t understand their own language. Some feel like they’re left out. My family was kinda like that. They wanted me to speak English and always said to use English when I was a kid. But they never stopped speaking in their native at home so even though I don’t speak it myself, I understand at least what’s being said. Parents should understand that and not be afraid ngl

me with my parents but with their province dialect/languages, it would be awesome to flex to everyone that i can speak three to four languages instead of just two 😤
