I never knew a dolphin can be anywhere but in the open ocean. I've seen that they hunt on the shore by sliding on it on their sides. So that's probably what the dolphin was doing. Honestly it was incredible to see that!!!

Hey Mikey, another awesome video. The dolphin is hunting mullet or small fish. They chase the fish towards the bank and force them onland. Then they can eat them at there own leisure. Tightlines buddy.

They are breaching, I've personally watched dolphins working schools of red's in water so shallow they would have to swim on there side. And have video of them stealing 15 lbs sheepshead and playing cat an mouse with them. Awesome creatures! Fish on bro more time on the water, makes for more tails of the sea as salts would say!

hey micah, at saskatchewan, there is a lake called candle lake, you should go there and fish, because it consists of perch, burbot, white fish, walleye, and northern pike. I go there every year and usually catch keeper fish. but its winter here, so wait for summer unless you wanna go ice fishing

THOSE red fish were real beaudies HAV! HOW about burying your fish & having an underground cookout in? OR! A plank cook. Soak a plank of aromatic wood in water overnight & place your fish 'dish' on the plank over a fire. It's a N American idea I think. Not tried it myself... A HNY 2 U HAV! 🥳💥👍🏻👌🏻🎉🎊

What you saw the dolphins doing on the banks is called “strand feeding”. Only dolphins in the Lowcountry and a few other places do this.

I noticed there were two dolphins, it could be a mating ritual of sorts, majority of dolphins mate 365 but certain regions are known for spring and fall!

Hey my man. You should use butter or different kind of oil for food. Canola oil shouldn't even be used in cooking, its absolutely terrible for you. Use better oils like olive oil, avocado oil, ghee, even tallow. All better options than nut and seed oils.

That was really neat how you cook the fish inside the log. But when you first got that log going if you're on a survival thing you could have smoked that fish with all that smoke if you would have built something over the top I would think right? And two is a survival situation that log you could have broken too or kept it how it was and put more logs on it and had a fire all night long but once again another great video by you I'm so impressed with that idea and how to do that thanks again and would love to see more inventions like that but would love to see you smoke a fish with the log like that and build something of a top above where it was smoking from from the log.? But another great video can't wait to see more I love watching your videos thank you.

Mica u should be careful of hanging ur catch by the side of ur kayak. A big predator fish can come up and drag n tip ur boat. Use some kind of break away device attachment if u incline to do so

So dolphins when they hunt. Will chase or school fish into the shallows near the shoreline. To make it easier for them to catch. They use their tails to kick up sand or silt. Kinda like a smoke screen. and use their echolocation to catch the fish. Sometimes the dolphin gets beached on accident. Think of those nature videos of killer whales catching seals.

pretty sure that dolphin is hunting. it might be a porpoise because they like to go up creeks and inlets. they follow crab boats a lot of the time. they drive fish up close to the bak to trap them.

They push the bait fish up on to the bank to beach them and make them easier to catch then they beach the top part of there bodies and wiggle and maneuver themselves around to get the fish then wriggle around till they get back in the water but it’s pretty bad for them because the mud and other debris wears down there teeth

When they do that, they chase bait close to shore, and then accelerate to push them onto shore, then sit there and wait for them to fall back down and into their open mouths. Cool that you got to see it!

if theres a pod of dolphins they may be fishing coff coff they tend to herd fish onto a beach and catch their dinner that way that could be what they were doing
