We had a family of 7 and an Italian mother who could cook. We also had a 120 acre farm in SE Wisconsin with a huge garden. I didn't realize how lucky I was growing up to eat incredible meats, fruits and vegatables, all organic way before that was cool, just how we farmed back then. I go to farmer's markets these days. Yes ma’am, you can always tell a southern cook, when they wash the rice and season Everything😂. I was about ready to jump into my phone for my plate at the end😋🤤 . I love the team work, it really helps things go smoothly, so the family can eat together. My family boils the yams, then mixes the butter, sugar, nutmeg and cinnamon with a little Hennessy, then pour over the yams and pop it in the oven for 10 minutes😂 we them crazy folks.
