I always enjoy cooking with leftovers and challenging myself to come up with something totally different. I'm always saving my scraps and using whatever I have on hand so I don't have to keep going grocery shopping so often. This was a typical day of doing mom duties and attempting to work from home once again. This vlog ended up being very meta! Hope you're enjoying this vlogging series and even picking up a tip or two. Julie, I celebrate your commitment to using leftovers as a springboard to creativity. You end up developing new recipes that you likely wouldn't have thought of if starting off from scratch. I just made pantry/fridge finds sloppy joes, bulking up my measly half pound of hamburger with chorizo-cauliflower rice I found in the freezer. The family loved it (and I managed to sneak in an extra veg!)

The reason why I don't meal prep is that I don't like eating the same thing everyday hence leftovers. Looking forward to you continuing your vlogs. I'm always in the mood to watch vlogs. Keep it up.

loving the IRL vids and you're a natural beauty, this is IRL! ...if I have random little bits of banchan, roll it up into ibbitybop banchan kimbops or like you said - stir fry it up or throw in a tortilla or panini. fun seeing more posts popping up :D

Being super frugal is a way of life for the past year . No was no want is what my father always said. My daughter and I make a lot of kasadia,s not sure if I spelled that correctly all left overs are with cheese and cheese freezes beautifully so I save all odds and ends .

Bah! I always end up tossing the bits of bibbity bobs in my fridge, but now I’m motivated to use them up in creative ways. I’m really enjoying the IRL cooking videos bc it’s more relevant to my everyday cooking mom life….thanks for the inspirations and keep up the great work w/the vlogmas series!!

Haha I told Joe I want to make a tee shirt that says bibbity bobs 😂. I always get tempted to toss the scraps too…esp if there’s not enough, but it’s so rewarding when those scraps turn into a fresh new meal the next day! Glad you’re enjoying the IRL cooking!

Your left over cooking is inspiring. My left over go to is either fried rice. My family’s favorite or I make omelette. With the price of eggs/ food now. And a hungry men I have to be sure there is no food waste. I also do a lot of burritos, different cheeses adds different flavors in my go to burritos

Always love watching your vlogs!! Any quesadilla is a good quesadilla, per my husband! He can eat a quesadilla for every meal if I allowed him. 😆 We always try to be scrappy and eat/repurpose what we have in our fridge. Food waste is no good!!! Have you heard of Impossible Foods (plant based meat company)? I work for them and have tried to reduce our family meat consumption. Let me know if you want to try some of our products.
