When I ordered my bike, the ready kit never showed up. I was told by customer service it’s my problem. At least they didn’t charge extra for the flat and damaged rear tube, scratched paint that looks like someone used a grinder on the fork and the rear of the bike. I ordered a tube on eBay so I can fix the bike and get it rideable to sell.
I heard from other reviewers there is not that much difference in the lighting between the stock lighting and the premium lighting. What is your opinion? Was it worth the upgrade?
Thanks for sharing this video - but I had a bit of a hard time hearing you especially with all the background noise. Consider using an inexpensive lavalier mic when filming outside it can make a huge difference.
@@ChrisCrossed Thanks! I have a Lectric 2.0. Thanks for the response. The cheaper versions don’t seem to have the great reviews. Looks like I’m ordering the Rockbros bag and the gloves for sure. Again great video and explanations!
Hey Chris, you're going to have as much money as the Lectric cost invested if you're not careful, lol. Anyway to mount that turn signal to the rear of the pannier bag or frame?
I know right! I knew I spent hundreds but noth that much lol. Unfortunate mounting points for that taillight are only for the seat or seatpost. I suppose you could zip tie it there
@@ChrisCrossed specifically bought the Xp lite back rack. When I emailed them at time package arrived(also bought fendors together with it;only fendor arrived) I informed them of the missing package. And then they proceed to send me the frame folding latch(don’t know the true name). I told them they didn’t send me the back rack. They responded. Brb Edit:specifically talking about the Lectric main store. No off brand.
no disrespect but i cant see a $25 lock being secure, i payed $65 for a foldylock very secure. buy one please and keep your bike safe,it will go well with the one you've got.
Just picked up an XP 2.0 step through on sale for $850 shipped! I ride it in a city and it is great! I am toying with the idea of unlocking the class 3 but really recognize the battery economy. I will probably play with it tomorrow to see if it is worth doing, I like the idea of charging it every other day vs having to charge it nightly. I thought about pulling the trigger on the bigger battery but $500 is quite a bit... I do recognize that having the battery it came with as an additional means of fuel would be sweet... Those 8 extra MPH may or may not be worth it, I guess it would depend on how bad you need to be somewhere and what your time frame is. I really appreciate your video, it definitely has shown me some cool upgrades!
Nice video, I find approaching bikes with daylight lights annoying especially on strobe. Seems quite unnecessary and inconsiderate to your fellow e-bikers.
Hey Chris, the mods keep piling up. Just received my XP 2.0 yesterday, after waiting 11 weeks. I have the same Rockbros rack bag, FYI if you turn yours the other way there is a strip on the drink holder for a clip-on red light 👍🏻
I really like the Wowtow frame bag, the phone /stash case is removable and there's roomy pockets for snacks for the bonks or an mp3 player... I just got the bag today so haven't fully explored the possibilities yet but I intend to. I've only had my Lectric 2.0 bike two days and absolutely love it. I was in and out of the garage all evening customizing and just getting to know what's on the bike and where, and read the manual and, you know, things like that. I just love my new Lectric 2.0, I could go on for hours. 😍🚴
@@strout2944 It's a good bag and carries a lot of stuff easily: snacks, bike alarm, MP3 player and small souvenirs I might find on the roads while riding.
I like the Roswheel pack that covers part of the "LECTRIC" name on the side. That would be good so you don't advertise too much to a thief that it's a $1,000 electric bike.
On the rear light, I installed the same. BUT, behind the rear bag so it's 100% visible to traffic. You need a right angle bracket (many racks do come equipt) behind the rack to attach the light to. I used a 3" long round PVC pipe, connected that to the rack bracket; in fact with two holes on the bracket it takes #1 of 2. Then used the std. connector that comes with the unit, and secured that to the 3" PVC. Used hole #2 to squeeze in a 2nd 3" wide red reflector. If they can't see me they're driving blind. And the remote signal unit has no problem with it behind the bag.
@Chris Crossed Thanks Chris Crossed ! Awesome gear and great review ! I have the same bike you have. 👍 I went to the link to get the pedals but there were 2. One was, w/o adapter - $16 and the other with adapter was $35. May I ask which you bought, please ? Happy adventures.
The frame bag will eventually wear a hole in the paint. These bags are always moving with bumps and just the vibrations of road and bike, working like sandpaper on the paint. I didn't see anything to change a flat tire. You will need a pump, innertube, two large wrenches for the front and back axel bolts, and possibly a hammer too, along with enough allen wrenches for the torque arms, and disk brake removal. I didn't see any tire levers either for removing the tire from the rim for repair. You should also carry a chain break tool for repairing a broken chain, and an allen wrench big enough for the crank bolts which always come loose. I didn't see a spoke wrench either, very necessary for truing a wheel when you break a spoke. Panniers will not clear your feet when your feet are correctly positioned on the pedal, unless you have very small feet, under size 8.
You gotta checkout the CYCL Winglights; they're turn signal lights that mount to your handlebar. Make sure you get the 360 version, which is rechargeable. They look awesome at night and have a front and rear light feature (white and red) that stays on while you ride. Great video! Got me thinking about the upgraded headlight
Buyer beware! Because of all the superfluous hype about this bike it is easy to not be aware of the company's return policy. NO returns are allowed. Search for the return policy link on the company's web page and read it before deciding to purchase the bike or any accessories to make an informed decision.
I'd love to know which product to get aftermarket for a folding foot peg (passenger), the one from E Lelectric only comes in a bundle and is not foldable
Nice video and looks like an excellent bike, but I have found for International and Canada it is a risk of you read their policy, basically a buy it at your own risk for returns. Website Policy: You may cancel your order for a full refund up until the time you receive your shipment confirmation email with tracking information. If you cancel after your order has been sent you are responsible for the return shipping fee. In addition, the original shipping fee we incurred to send the bike to you will not be refunded (even when ‘free’ shipping is advertised). Our refund policy is ‘All Sales Final’. Unfortunately, we can’t offer a refund or exchange after the bike has shipped.
Is the front frame bag a large or medium that you got for the XP2.0? Also is it a Roswheel or Rockbros? The video said Roswheel but the link goes go Rockbros. Thsnkd 👍👍👍 Like your setup. Trying to order.
My bike has the same short handle bars. I bought some handle bar extensions for mine. They give you an extra 3 inches on each side after you take the grips off fit them and put the grips back on.
Another cool mod would be a helmet that you could attach the camera to so you could use both hands to demonstrate. I see this in so many videos that I'm surprised no one has come up with an inexpensive method of freeing both hands. I don't shoot videos so maybe it just wouldn't work but it would be great if there were one. Thanks for showing your electric bike additions.
@@ChrisCrossed Yes, I see those but are they too wide screen for people who are shooting videos about a small thing like a light on a bike or a fender attachment? I see so many videos where the person is struggling to show something because one hand is holding the camera. Like I said, I don't shoot videos so I am just throwing stuff out there. Anyway, thanks again for your videos.
Hi Chris, I believe I have the same Rock Brothers bag. I believe I understand why you have it facing the way you do so the water bottle is near the seat, but isn't that backwards? On mine, there's a reflective strip around that bottle holder part that can only be seen if you had the bag turned around and I believe it's supposed to be alerting cars and other riders behind you.
So I had it the other way at first, decided to reverse it to put the water bottle bag nearer me. It also fills up more of the empty space under the seat.
Nice. I have two Halo motorcycle headlights on a piece of copper tubing mounted on the front where the basket would mount. Use a 12v mobility scooter battery. I have it in the bag on back. It's over kill. I shrunk in my old age, have a Dropper post the raises me up 150mm. Amazing how much it helps. Just bought chrome electric cable covering like the black stuff already on the bike. My back freewheel is nickel plated 11-28 T. A little shine.
Im considering buying this bike to replace a MUCH more expensive that i have been riding solely for rhe throttle-only option snd I thank you for all your reviews. Because of them you have convinced me of the quality of this bike and zi understand their customer service is better than excellent. Ive subscribed to your channel and look forward to more of what you have to say about it. Mail-orderinf a bike is always a risk but youve convinced me that I want to get one. Kudos to you and your unbiased reviews. Ive watched many rebiewers but you are BY FAR the best, most infomative reviewer of them all.
Yeah, the bike seat is the next thing I'm going to get, the one that comes with the bike, you bust your butt on that with bumps. even now sitting in front of the computer, not riding the bike, I still have Vietnam style flashbacks of traumatic rides due to the seat. I totally want to get that bag also. thanks for the vid.
@@ChrisCrossed Hey Chris, the mirrors and lock have shipped! The bike has been scanned and is awaiting pickup by Fedex! Looking like next week for a 2.0 bike ride!😎
The bike showed up this week! First impression: wow, this thing is fun! Just got a twilight ride in and feeling like a fifteen year old kid again. Very comfortable position riding this bike. And Saddletramp is right, the turbo boost kicks in on pas three! Oh yeah, the desert is going to be fun this winter!😎
a screw or 2 thru the posts with a little jb weldin the grooves to prevent unscreing will provide a semi permanent solution to theft. or future modification on your part as well, lol
Chris- you do a great disservice to Loyal subscribers and others by not even mentioning MIPS helmets- I have one for bicycling, one for skiing and one for motorcycling. THEY WORK ( ask me how I know)
Chris, I’m astounded you do not mention MIPS helmets- I have one for bicycling, one for skiing, and one for motorcycling. They are far superior in low speed crashes- please research these
I haven't watched this yet so maybe you mention it, but on the Lectric website I saw a bike with a surfboard on a bike with a surfboard rack. But there is no surfboard rack on their website. I have some online but no way to judge them. Any thoughts?
I ordered two Lectric step thru bikes for Christmas. The first one was lost in shipment but a replacement is in route. I did get the second one and have only 10 miles on it. I am very impressed. I appreciate all the comments and videos you have made. I am looking for accessories to make the bikes even better. I missed the thumb throttle source but do not need it right now. I just joined the group a few minutes ago. I live in southern Utah and expect to have a lot of fun with the bikes,
@@ChrisCrossed Thank you buddy great content always l wanted to go for that bike run but l live in New Jersey my bike has almost everything your ebike has
@@ChrisCrossed , actually, I think they are some kind of tabs to make it easier to take the pedals off. Not necessary. I just installed the pedals and they are much better than the stock pedals. Thanks for the recommendation!
