For those who are confused as to why she could pick up such a huge variety of things, it's been explained that: 1. The mountains are unclaimed and cannot be sold or bought by anyone. 2. In small villages like that, or any very, very small communities really-- you're free to take others' crops as long as they can trust you that you'll either 1)Let them do the same or 2)Give them something in return at some point, let it be in the form of goods or services. Very secluded societies like that don't exactly have everything widely available for anyone to just purchase out of the shelves. We've basically been accustomed to a lifestyle where everything has been mass produced and can be bought at a cheap price. In small communities like that, where so many things are either homegrown or crafted, people have to share resources to survive (or just to live a good life really) and rely heavily on trust towards each other--they're not perfectly self-sufficient like people living in big cities are. You'd be shocked at how people in these kinds of villages readily involve themselves in their neighbors' affairs and treat even strangers like their family.

As someone suffering from severe anxiety, I cannot thank these videos enough. They help me calm down on nights I can't sleep and give me hope for a simple, peaceful and uncomplicated life.

Honestly this channel has been a huge inspiration to start my own path in gardening and foraging. I lie way up north in the us so our growing season isn't great, but that's not stopped me yet lol. I started my garden last year and grew a dozen or so bean plants, a handful of squash plants, wildflowers, a dozen or so peas, two pepper plants, and a bunch of pretty sunflowers. This year when the snow leaves I'm gonna do even better and plant even more peppers and beans, some cucumber, tomatoes and whatever else I can get to grow!!

I used to be addicted to those “fun & easy” 5-minutes meal and craft videos. After I found this channel, I realized that the difficult and long process of preparing food from scratch is indeed more beautiful, delicate and satisfying to watch and experience. This process of cooking has culture, values, memory, knowledge, and also exquisite beauty and valuable skills in it. More people should watch this instead of those factory videos.

Oh my god. Her ice cream is out of this world. Hand grown, hand picked fruits and tea, handmade everything. Everything natural and free of preservatives and chemicals. really i don't think there is anyone who can compete with Li Ziqi. She is absolutely unique.

I just found Li Ziqi's Channel 2 or 3 days ago, and I can't stop watching her channel. In my opinion, she does the best job of anyone I have ever seen with creating a wonderful, simple, and beautifully shot video. She makes them fun to watch, beautiful with all the flowers, mountain scenery, etc., cute with the baby animals following her around, informative with building amazing things from clay and bamboo, and creating really delicious looking dishes. She does a wonderful job in front of the camera, and her videographer has an extremely artistic way of seeing the world around her too. Again, I have never seen anything like these videos. They are captivating to me, and I think I have watched almost all of them in only a few days! I'm happy that so many people watch her channel. I truly feel that she deserves huge success with this. I'm very happy I found her videos (completely by accident) 3 days ago. I've never seen anything else quite like her channel. I hope she keeps doing them, and doesn't allow success to change how she creates them. The "simplicity" of the videos is a huge part of their charm. When you and your grandmother were eating together, i was on the verge of crying. We used to do that, too. She would make sweet potato ice cream, talking and laughing while we would it. I know she's happy up there, though!! 💓💓

I’m saddened to know the making and rights of these videos weren’t fully at the behest of Liziqi’s wishes, but I’m still so grateful for them. Had an at-home birth with my third child in the fall of 2021. These videos were on shuffle while I was laboring. Was so peaceful compared to my hospital births 🥰

I’m a Pastry Chef and I’m still in awe how she makes everything looks so simple. Many people would think to buy an ice cream machine just to make ice cream but you just can without it. All you need is aerate your custard mixture with whipped cream. I love how she makes use of seasonal fruits and berries... it is so beautiful... I wish I can make ice creams as beautiful as her.. and her wooden ‘whisk’ is amazing!!! Thank you LIZI!!!

This yellow fruit is called “loquat” or “枇杷”, my grandfather bought some when I was 5 yr old, the most tasteful, sweet, citrusy, enzymatic, tree ripened fruit. We had very little food, but the experience of tasting something so alive left a lasting memory. Had it a few times returning to China, was never the same again due to industrialized farming. Life can be so simple! In my 40’s now living in the west and watching this brought tears to my eyes cherishing old culture, traditions, family, and a way life used to be......
