This guy is more punk than the punkiest of punk. The most hardcore doesn't play by the rules punk band looks like Abba compared to him. A true legend. This caused me to reflect on myself. I see a lot of myself as an artist in R. Stevie Moore.
i feel like there is a lot of people like stevie in the world, awesome people that dont get recognized, it is almost allways the assholes that get the fame but i bet their soul will not enter to heaven!
@@shucksful who's to say that place even exists. musically im in the realm of Mr Moore, I don't mean like releasing 400 albums but not getting famous and i don't even have 1 album. I've been in a couple bands and I have some music on my RU-vid channel of me doing a couple of covers. I'm very much an outsider but I'm gifted musically and that kinda keeps me on the inside.
I desperately wanted to see this ever since it was first announced. Unfortunately, it seems to have already disappeared. Thank you so much for uploading it.
Can't believe I'm only just NOW seeing this! R. Stevie - a freakin' legend, for like HUGE amounts of rolling, ever accumulating decades. Words suck, come up short to put on proper worshipful display of the unique genius of 'da mensch'. First heard about him in the mid 70s from Trouser Press, a clueless teenager, pulled in by beautiful constructed vacuous but grippingly enticing ad copy filled with superlatives. Of course, the first LP arrived and I was confused...but, hey, it was 1976, I was 14! It was, "Phonography". I got w/ the program a few short yrs later because....R. Stevie Moore is COMING FOR YOU. So be ready. LEGEND. Pure punk ethos awash with trippy Beatley melodies...wait, I gotta stop. There's no words for his genius output. JUST let it wash over yr music lovin' soul. Start. Now.
This really gave me a different perspective on Stevie. It was hard to watch him trying to walk when he was in great pain. Still, though, what an absolute guy he is. Some of my most favorite songs were written by him
This is really awesome. Was surprised i didn’t see TeeVee Coahran in any of the tour footage, he was on keys when I saw him in Vancouver. Really special film, thanks
He announced that he did at the tail end of 2019...then released over 15(!!!) new albums including a 4 hour sound collage called The THEN THERE 😘❤️🙌😍💋 in 2020. Those emojis are part of the title lol. Love his music to death.
People ask to see the raw real life of an artist. Of creating things, and then get annoyed when they see a creative process. With all its pimples and warts. You need to be comfortable with anything, to have an open mind. If you wish to create anything. To say stupid things and great things
