Cool hillshade effects in QGIS 

If you have a raster layer with terrain data in it, you can quickly apply really cool effects in QGIS, with only a few clicks. If you duplicate the layer a couple of times and apply a few more effects you can take it even further. Take a look at the video to see what I mean.
