In the USA, we mainly have junk food in our vending machines: chips, sodas, candy, gum. I love the ones in Las Vegas hotels. They have things like toothbrushes, Ibuprofen, flip flops and even underwear.
Tao Bin (Turtle Fly) is a Thai-owned innovation introduced a few years ago and it was an instant hit due to its easy menu and good taste. When I had a swollen prostrate surgery done in Jan last year, my wife bought hot coffee for a large cup at 40 baht for me to drink every morning for 5 days that I stayed in the hospital. It was as good as 80-baht hot Starbuck, just my 2 baht opinion.

Vending machines here (US) had mainly been beverages (sodas, water, etc) and snacks like crackers, chips, popcorn, candy pre-pandemic. At some places, especially in work places there were sandwiches but that had some fancy types of vending items. Cotton candy was worth price for entertainment and the bonus of Phil grabbing the entire centerpiece with his bite. Thought Deana was going to smush the whole cotton candy into his face when he headed towards it.

Did you guys know that a lot of unique vending machines with fresh produce can be found in the Netherlands? At our farmers no less. They use it to sell some of their products for a way better price then they would get when selling to a supermarket chain, and it's still cheaper for the customer. Some examples of products found in vending machines at farmers here in De Randstad are cheese, dairy products, flowers, eggs, all kinds of fresh vegetables and fresh fruits. Where vending machines with cheese, dairy products and eggs can be found all year round, some seasonal products might not be available everywhere. This with the exception of Westland where a lot of greenhouses can be found.
My daughter really likes Tao Bin vending machine. When passing by, she will always have to stop and buy. Her most popular menu is Oreo Smoothie Vocano, it's delicious.
I was in Malaysia once, and it was the end of my trip, I was low on my money and saw a street food guy selling Mango in a liquid. So, I was hyped fresh fruit out of Malaysia is ussaly awsome. Bought a bag of it and expected a massive sweet taste, like the canned ones in germany, and then it was sour and salty. Had to spit it out and throw it away. That really hit on the wrong and of my taste scale 😅. Salty fruit is not my fruit... I got you Phil
This reminds me of the famous (or infamous) Japanese food vending machine culture. I suspect that many of these fascinating devices were made in Japan.
@@aaaddd8888 yes, nowadays no need to buy those machine from japan anymore and I saw Thai even exported many famous Thai Coconut Vending Machine to Singapore too (coco brand) which sell the freshest coconut in natural form from the machine but it has a button to push in a straw through a coconut that make it very easy to drink.
I remember when I traveled around Europe in the early 90's and thought that countries like France and Italy were far ahead of Germany when it came to all types of machines, like ticket machines and electronic train schedules. Those things are now common in Germany as well, but it took a long time for us to catch up. As it seems, nothing has changed, Germany is still far behind other countries when it comes to automation.
I am surprised with the cotton candy machine I watched livingbobby and he got the heart inside of the cotton candy and it turned out right yours is like an act of betrayal but such a great video

Unfortunately in my condo there’s only the 7-eleven machine left. Guess not enough people used the taobin edit(add): i needed a photo for my visa extension of stay, though i found a photo booth but it printed funny effects so i had to find another place. I brought the funny photos to immigration anyway. The officer found it too funny and asked if she can keep it. Good to have a friend at immigration 😂

Deana and Phil, I have an idea for a video I don’t know if it has been done on your channel yet, I can see that phil knows English really well. Can you do a video made discussing was easy for you to learn English is there any lessons or schooling about it or anything like that because I have seen a lot of native Germans that know English pretty well.
Just QR code the Account number my friend, you put how much money to pay by yourself and confirm by your finger on android or face ID on ios. Here in Thailand there are 2 type of QR code when pay, the first one is QR code for all kinds of monthly bills. When scan there will be a fix number for you to pay and the other one is QR code their account to transfer most of the people on the street used this type and you could put how much you wany to pay by yourself. Or just transfer to their phone apps because most of the Thai people phone they already sync the Bank apps with their phone number that's mean they no need to remember the long account number anymore and just use the phone number to transfer and create the QR code to receive the money.

It's Thai product and company my friend but here in Thailand there are a lot of Japanese, Chinese and Korean, etc lived here. so many snacks and drinks may has foreign language sign and a lot of Thai people here they really love variety stuff. Example if they sell Kimchi and Kimchi came from Korea right so it's not weird if they put korean language on the package just like we Thai are famous about Muaythai martial arts and now even in Europe or in the usa if they selling stuffs about Muaythai they just put a very bug Thai word on any Muaythai stuff such as shorts, T-shirt, sparring stuff. And the most funny story for me was from many of my Japanese friends that came to Thailand and here there is a very famous Thai beverage brand in Thailand called OISHI(japanese word) that sells countless kinds of tea you would imagine and the most ironically part was all of my Japanese friends were really addicted to those OISHI tea and they drink everyday until now. Lol
