Today on Cool Tools I have a non-stick... sticky tape that will help you keep all your threads, cords & yarn organized and tangle free! Hugo's Amazing Tape is a clear plastic tape that doesn't stick to anything... except to itself! Use it to wrap around anything that needs a little taming! You can also use it to keep little things together so you don't lose them... For example, wrap it around a spool of thread and it's matching bobbin! It's available of widths... check the Amazon Affiliate Links below.
Hugo's Amazing Tape 2" Wide: amzn.to/3UwdpRw
Hugo's Amazing Tape 1" Wide: amzn.to/4a78Se4
Hugo's Amazing Tape 1/2" Wide: amzn.to/4bqEFYy

That's a perfect use for this Amazing Tape.... I'm trying to keep my Studio Chair alive for a little bit longer... I used it to hold the armrest in place. :) So far so good!

I ordered this at a sewing demo I attended and have been waiting since March for it to be restocked. I'm so glad it's on Amazon. Watching your tools videos always costs me money! They talk about fabric collecting and pattern collecting as 2 separate hobbies but tool collecting is my 3rd. Thanks for all the great stuff.

I first bought it 20 or more years ago at a sewing expo when Hugo himself had a booth. One of my uses is wrapping the 2inch around my pie saver to keep the loose lid on during transit to a potluck. I will try the fold back for the end. I usually just cut one end with pinking shears ;) I find that cutting at least 2 times around the object works best to "stick" the wraps to itself. I save and reuse (sometimes have to clean the pie saver strip), but I am glad to see that Amazon carries it. Looking forward to your classes at ASG in SF this June!

WOW, I can't believe this miracle tape has been around for that long and I only recently discovered it!! ... I agree that wrapping around on itself is very effective. I have it wrapped around my armrest on my studio chair to keep it attached... working like a charm. And, I love the idea of keeping loose lids in place while traveling somewhere... That's brilliant! Thanks for watching ...and I'm looking forward to ASG in SF too... See ya there!

I personally like Velcro for cords. I had Hugo tape on my spools but it didn’t stay tight enough after while.

Good Morning ! You can also use toilet paper cores to slip over those cords and write the name of the device it belongs to on the core - I do this to all my kitchen appliances cords that I store away and bathroom appliances , hairdryer, curling iron , etc. I like the tape for using on my yarn balls!👍 Happy Sewing Virginia in Arkansas

That looks like an awesome tape for the sewing room and around the house. It can be hard getting things organized and all the other things that need to be done. I’ve been working on many projects plus dealing with all life’s interruptions. However I got a couple things I want to get finished this week but then before I get started on next thing I’m taking a 2 week sewcation.

Buy some wet-erase fine point markers (Vis-a-Vis) and you can write on it to label! I cut narrow pieces and label the embroidery thread color number left on a bobbin.

I'm a knitter and love the cake idea! I hate try to find the end if I wind the outside around several times and tuck it in. But then it's still not secure!. Also, It reminds me of that brown medical wrap tape that only sticks to itself.

I also thought of the likeness to Co-ban medical tape, but without the latex, presumably.

I love that tape. I use it to wrap around my fabric that I put on comic boards. I’ve also been known to put it on my surging spools of thread.
