I have made strawberry ones and Lemon ones, they need to cook long enough not to be doughy inside, but the chocolate ones probably would be even better if they were more moist inside. I have made them with and without cool whip, I like it without better! It's a box mix any flavor, 1/3 cup of oil and 2 egg, toss in powdered sugar and bake.

I dont put eggs in them either. New recipe for you, one strawberry cake mix and one lemon cake mix, 2 tubs of cool whip, then half and half the cookie. So good!

I have been making these cookies for about 30 years. They are delicious as you now know. I use different flavors of cake mix. Orange,strawberry, lemon too. I got the recipe from weight watchers. If you make their recipe, each cookie is 3 ww points. If not, the cookies are only 1 ww point more so not too bad as long as you don’t eat a ton of them.

Looks like chocolate crinkles cookies that I make but way simpler. I bet you could kick it up an extra notch by adding peppermint extract to the batter and then before baking crush some peppermint candy canes on top.
I'm making those. I'm thinking with lemon cake and instead of using the powder sugar, use a dab of lemon frosting after they cool down. Do you think they would come out of the oven ok without using the powder sugar ?
@@girloni4002 Do you know if these are too difficult to make if you don't have one of those clicker kind of ice cream scoopers? Is it too sticky to use a rubber spatula or your finger to scoop it out from a spoon/metal ice cream scoop?
I saw this recipe BUT without COOL WHIP ,& I didn't know you could use ANY FLAVOR...I saw them used with Red Velvet but they were made using the box instructions. Cool Whip is Different. QOTD.... TOO EASY CATHY... "ELF" aka Buddy the Elf lol

They looked to so delicious that I decided to bake them myself! They would have turned out better, but i accidentally dropped the kitchen towel into the oven which hit the coil, which then of course caught on fire! I got the towel out and put it in cold water, so it's all good now! Some cookies turned out good and others did not. And now I have a smokey house! LOL I'll have to try the recipe again!

I tried this and I thought it taste OK but I like brownies more than I do cake so I’m going to try using brownie mix and see how it turns out. I’ll have to let you know. Plus the brownie mix I use has chunks of chocolate in it.

My first time they did come out under cooked. I left them in a little longer, and it should be a soft cookie. Then make sure they stay on the tray when they come out of the oven. They will finish the rest of the cooking time on the tray. Then they will come out really excellent. 🎉🎉 ❤ 😊 I made mine without the cool whip. You can never just have one. Lol
