Pure engineering, making a tool or prop to perform a certain task as efficiently and thoroughly as possible, often with very simple ideas that quite simply, work. Definitely keeping this one in mind.

I've Cooler Master U Stand probably two years (can't remember when I bought it) and it's super handy. I use it with MSI GT60 2OD 3K IPS EDITION and it don't give me huge temperature difference however fan don't speed up on full even when I play more than 3 hours. I've it with external keyboard, mouse and as base station (like at 6:28 ). I'm really happy user and probably go for this one :)

I bought this notebook cooler because of this review. I did my own research as well but this put me in for the win. Unfortunately. Coolmaster has HORRIBLE support and there isn't a way to sign up for support on their site because the new user form is broken. The USB hub is not recognized by my machine and throws an error anytime I plug it in. There are no other users on the web who have reported this problem with this specific product. Tell you what though, it cools as promised!! super quiet! The ability to prop it up and use a keyboard is fantastic. Thanks for posting the review!

Thumbs up for the tabs folding to the sides, not to the front. They were relatively sensitive on the Ergo 2 and it had issues with heavier laptops, and would easily brake. This looks much better. Also the speed controller was really dug down on the old one.

***** Make sure that 5V is to power the Ergostand actually. I had one of the older CoolerMaster Ergostand and the manual said It was to power the Ergostand if you didn't wanted to use an USB from the Notebook.

I hate to say it but why not include if it actually has any effect on cooling the computer. I never see any reviews about the potential cooling gains. Would be nice to know for comparisons.

I just received my new Silverstone dust filer + 15mm pressure optimised fan for my nose. It's great. The fan is solar powered so I don't have to have a 3-pin power attached to my ears. I'm getting about a 46% more airflow in my nose.

My experience with cooling platforms for laptops: because the laptop is so crammed inside, adding an outside fan isn't going to help much. I tested my laptop which has bottom intake with the same workload, first sitting on my desk, second lifted off the desk with a 200mm fan blowing at the bottom at full blast. 3°C difference.

the screen may be raised up, but you're still leaning forward and slouching.

My question is: Does it cool the laptop down enough to make the laptop's fans work less hard, under load?

I am designing a liquid cooled pc. I am interested in making the coolant in my pc red. When I do research on colored coolant or dye, no matter where I look, everyone says "don't put dyes or coolants in your pc!" According to most of the internet, coolants or dyes will gunk up and corrode the inside of your loop, I obviously don't want this. However when I look at Jay's pcs, I notice he always has coolants or dyes. For example, Skunkworks used yellow Mayhem coolant. Also Jay used dye in his recent AMD build. So, to summarize... Do dyes and coolants gunk up your pc? And is there specific maintenance that someone should do to prevent gunk if you use dyes or coolants? Hint, hint Jay... Do a water cooling maintenance video!!!

This might be the best mobile gaming docking station, I like the way CoolerMaster did this cooler. It's not the best from features point, but for it's price is neat. Also, having to connect only 1 cable for the cooler, mouse&kb and smartphone is great.

Great video. I would love to see a video on if this stand does much with cooling performance in games and just in everyday tasks.

Hey Jayz, if I were you I wouldn´t recommend full sail. They are very expensive and don´t give you the knowledge you trully need. Plus the kind of industry that they are trying to appeal to doesn´t require a degree so it would be better to get a appreticeship if you are after the arts and just learn or take a programming degree if after the coding.

I have a stand at staples thats 30$ cnd and is aluminum built, fully adjustable with a built in fan covered by a life time warranty. This is 100$ cnd on amazon lol. (it is 44$ on the us amazon but still 30$ cnd is 22$ usd and the cooler master stand is plastic)

One of the really good things is that you get off the laptop keyboard. If you keep your laptop for any time the less miles on the keyboard the better.

I could really need to use something like this when I go back to uni. I only take my 13" laptop with me. The problem I am thinking is that the heat on my laptop is dispersed down and to the left from the left side of the laptop. Would this be all-right for it as I am guessing when fallout 4 comes out I will be spending a bit of time on it.

i have order this Cooler Master Ergostand III for my hp eliebook 850 g5 its having a heating problem on full load its runs fine now with tis fan stand but no usb 3.0 ports on this Cooler Master Ergostand III only usb 2.0

The typing angle would give carpel tunnel much quicker.... the "discrete" keyboard would almost be a requirement.

i have the cooler master ergostand II and while it is the best stand for a 17" laptop, the fact that these are advertised for laptops up to 17" is ridicolous. also your cooler master ergostand III is inferior to the previous model. when i saw the base of it i was wondering why they took the step back from the previous model

How many inches is your laptop? Can it hold a 17.3 inch laptop?

a quick question is there a possibility that the usb hub is underpowered? Because i use a backlit keyboard a chroma mouse and a usb headset and when im gaming it keeps disconnecting but in everyday use (not gaming) it works fine
