exactly, I have the cosmos 2 and I was waiting for a new case from cooler master and it took them ages, sadly this one is way too expensive, but we only live once, right ?
I dig this case. Its absurd and unique, but also extraordinarily practical. You could easily keep this case for several hardware generations. Many unique cases are so impractical to the point of absurdity, IE Azza Cube.
I actually got this case myself. I got it for the functionality of it. I needed something that i could put a number of high capacity HDD in as well as my SSDs. I also loved the fact that it has plenty of room for cables. I have a $230 case for my other computer and it's fine for that.
@@TheSkulsum69 Mine was faulty and never got fixed.. One of the screwins on the mirror came unattached when I went to remove it. The Front panel lights don't work at all. The whole case was a complete scam. I was told to send it back to where I got it, but as I told Coolermaster it would have cost me another $100 aud to do that and it was not worth it. I would not recommend anyone buy this case. Apart from the lighting system being completely screwed and the mirror screwins broken, I have no other issues. It's an over priced piece of Crap!
I'm really tempted, but the Cosmos design is my favorite, so I'm willing to wait until they update the Cosmos series with similar features as this HAF. Being able to mount a 240 AIO at the back of the case is definitely an interesting option that is offered nowhere else in the current market. Good job Cooler Master.
Really liking these oversized CoolerMaster cases. They got some eclectic retro looking cases that really stand out. I've got a CM694 that really looks the part when making use of the 5.25" bays. But I'm definitely gonna push for this big bertha in the future!
Nice an thorough review. What I find quite puzzling is that even in a 500$ premium case you still need to deal with that software instead of an small programable independent controller.
I still have the HAF X from ten years ago and have not wanted to give it up because I have done five builds in it. The last build I did was in an N-Case, and because of space issues, I could not see using something this big. If they do a pared-down version, though, I might be tempted.
I think Cooler Master is the best Case so far....best Airflow, design, and Quality.... cz I have a Cooler Master H500P Mesh since 2019 until now there never been an error or broken on all fans and the noise is still quiet....
Personally I would prefer the front to have kinda like a diamond or X pattern instead of the straight lines and I also feel like the round screen clashes with the rest of the straight lines on the case, like it was a last minute addition or something. If it was also a diamond 🔹 shape that would be better, or heck even the shape of their hexagonal logo with the screen in the middle would be a better fit imo
An absolute unit. It's a bit strange: the visual design seems to be aimed at gamers; but if your budget includes $500 just for the case, I would imagine this being used more as a workstation, where you probably wouldn't want so much RGB. Kinda crazy this is the same company that makes the NR200...
I agree. I also prefer a cleaner look but There is a market for this case, The price is kinda high. Thanks for the great review .. I think the round screen on the front looks like an after thought , should have shaped it to go better with the vertical lines but that is just my subjective opinion .
Thanks for the review and more importantly thank you for you honestly. I will say this, this case is well thought out, but 500.00 is way too much for a case. Even the Corsair 5000T is about 100.00 more than the regular 5000, which is just nuts for just more curves, which is ridiculous. At least with the Cooler Master it is innovative.
That is one crazy ass looking case. You are also looking marvelous. wait, did you say $500? Ya okay, I'm going to show myself out. For that much money, I expect it to come with a full array of fans, and even a AIO cooler. If not, no way I would spend that much on a case,
Nada and CM ftw. I really like this case. i need something unique and this case def fits requirements. Amazing review as always Techtesters. Veliki pozdrav.
The software control is awesome, I love the psu being located in the second compartment, that is fantastic for cable management. I also like the connectors on the front and not the top of the case. The only thing i dont like about the full cases is that they are so bulky and heavy even for a geek with muscles like me 😂feels like you need to be henry cavill to lift them when built.
Just got this case $600 Aus from Umart it’s so nice and sturdy also been waiting since antec 1200 for a case with duo back fans so nice to see more then one random fan. Love it
Please make a review for the new ROG Strix XG249CM monitor. It's with new panel - 23.8 inch with 270 hz. I think it's a lot better than the tons of 24.5 inch 240 hz monitors on the market. Better pixels per inch and more hz. :) Please Nada!
While I don’t like this case I think that Cooler Master deserves some kudos, they’re one of the few companies that while they offer a controller and software for their RGB products, they also include standard 3/4 pins. Also they have proper hard drives vibration isolation.
Imo, the whole point of HAF case would be to show how well it pulls out excess heat. For that a test with CPU tower cooler would be in order;) Putting RGB custom loops on the case only shows the custom loop and nothing more as water cooler pushes heat straight out of the case anyways.
Loving the “CM x Nadalina” collaboration in this creating this case hehe 😉 (Nadalina naming on LCD) loving the side panel design….. the font feels a little off in the design imo … maybe angular rgb front strips would suit better. Both front and side panels looks great separately, but not together …. 🧐 Maybe just me 😛. Loving all the USB front panel connectors and the massive radiator support 🤯🤩😍 infinity mirror or just dark regular mirror 🙃😬 …. Marketing fluff there! Wow Dells “tool free” design makes a comeback …. Who woulda thought Dell would be a trend setter 🤦♀🤦🤦♂ 20+ years ago! Despite having a dual motor lift ergo-desk …. This would struggle with this behemoth case once populated with a full cooling and drives etc 🤕🤕
Great review as always. The case is so weird in my opinion. It looks like a Lian li o11 and Fractal Torrent combination to me. And the price is more than a sum up of the above. Not a big fan. I would like to see a NR500 case from Cooler Master.
as I commented above this case makes no sense for a configuration as shown here, it's designed for customers who want something betwee the Corsair 1000D and a LianLi Dynamic XL basically, I recommend the o11 dynamic XL to anyone but I'm interested in the coolermaster because my custom loop outgrew it, triple radiators super long gpu e-atx motherboard etc made the XL feel like a small form factor I have to use tweezers to grab and pull cables because I have no space left >
I still have a Cooler Master "HAF-X" that still has a working system in it as a stand-by rig. Now that case back in the day cost in the region of $400.00 and all it came with was 1x230mm Red RGB Fan in the front, a 200mm non RGB in the side and top and a 140mm non RGB fan in the rear. Oh, and 4 Coasters so you could move it around, although it only weighed in at 15kg. A lot of these have been really badly modified. Mine looks like it just came out of the Cooler Master Factory! So really 12 years later and considering the extra this case gives you as standard, it cheap by comparison as I'm pretty sure $400.00 bought you a damn site more than $550.00 buys you today!!! Nice looking case and if I had money to burn, I'd buy it considering it only costs about 20% of what a top end GPU costs these days! Although personally, I'd rather save £150.00 and get the Corsair 5000T Ciao..... :)
Very Impressive Case from Interior, although didnt like the front much, thats just a personal opionion, but 240rad at back and its definitely for a custom loop. The ones who really have spare money to throw into a system for like 2500$ for case and liquid cooling solution. Cooler Master should bring this case in budget friendly version too, they can remove front long lights although display is cool. Great Innovative concept unless 400$ Corsair 5000T which is alot for same ring fans with little more RGB on top/bottom.
great review ! ty for the analysis. although ridiculous prices even in cases ... for normal user pointless . if you want to have something to present in a computer shop yeah... could do. nevertheless the case has vertical led stripes your shirt has horizontals lol :D
A bit of an eyesore, honestly. I, generally prefer a subtle approach to RGB on the case itself. I think this went a bit on the extreme. I do like the LCD screen. That's something I'm expecting to see more of over.
Will add a comment, I have this case with a 420x50mm rad in the top and yesterday a 2mm x 7mm plastic tab that holds it in place snapped and the whole rad and some water went into my build. DONT USE THE ENCLOSED cage for mounting anything in the top .
it's clearly a custom loop case, perfect for me who is starting to lack space in my lian li dynamic xl, an awesome case but with 3 large radiators an e-atx motherboard with the annoying 90° ATX connector making it e-atx++ wiring became a nightmare, def buying this one when available I wouldn't mind more space to have bigger reservoir too if I can reuse my two thick 360mm rads on top I would have most of the heat exhaust the case immediately which is great when you have a 200w cpu +380w gpu
I think unless DIY watercooling just go for the H500p mesh. Very cheap and with the big fans up front with mesh it's the same. A 360 AIO up top it will cool the 12900k and rtx 3090 properly. With the savings i'd buy DDR5 6200mhz instead of DDR4.
I haven't seen the Torrent yet, but I guess it won't differ that much. I usually just build something fitting, and as long as it can handle that I'm happy.
It would be great if there was an option with no rgb fans and the six front rgb strips were just black. I think a non-rgb all black version of this would be so stealthy and look really good.
Thanks for the great review was looking for more visuals after seeing Tom's HW review. I really wish I could justify the cost of this case because it has so many great cooling options. I wonder if slanting the fans at the bottom while vertically mounting the GPU (assuming there's enough clearance) would improve the cooling.
uu, if they make a cheaper version and reroute a little air behind the motherboard and make the dust filters easy to clean with a vacuum then i might buy it.
Seems like the ideal case to build a multi-user gaming rig in, e.g. on a HEDT platform and with several GPUs each. Alternatively, a balls-to-the-walls hybrid gaming/workstation PC which has both a gaming GPU and datacentre GPUs in there. The price tag would not be prohibitive for people looking for something like that. But for a regular PC, even a 6900XT/3090 + a top of the line desktop CPU (or even HEDT) this is way overkill unless it's just for bragging rights.
Nice case but I don't like the position of the I/O panel, that should IMHO be placed at the same spot where it is at the cosmos cages, so it is easier to reach. Also, I wouldn't buy a case without USB4 ports anymore - they are coming soon, and the case is usually the component I use the longest time. Apart from that, It seems to be a nice case.
Looks nice … that ads a case to the list of possible replacements for my current case that will fit my hardware I still think it’s pricey but at least for the time it’s the cheapest option
