@Consumer Tech Review Can you make a video about the best keyboard under $100? A lot of new keyboards have been released since the last time you made a tier list.
I got it "used" on amazon under a like new condition and it was brand new! The box had never been opened. The price was insane at $32! I was able to customize it and make it my own for well under the full price.
This keyboard is amazing and im so happy they quickly improved from the CK721 board. On another note, CTR could you try getting your hands on some of the BAREBONES Redragon keyboards sold exclusively from Micro Center? They're all 5-pin hotswap with removable type-c cables and pre-installed dampening between the steel plate and PCB. I use the BBK552 myself but they also have the BBK530 (Pro) and the BBK556 Devarajas.
You posted a video a year ago about your top 10 accessories for your desk. A lot of people were asking what desk you had and I also was very interested. Don’t think you listed it in the description. Do you mind sharing? Thank you ❤
They are not called box switched because of the stem. They are called box switches because the actuation mechanism of the switch is enclosed inside a box, the very white box because of which you advised not to lube the switches by hand.
for this price range i would pick fantech maxfit67 it has better keycaps and spare keycaps and it's south facing and its wireless. please do a review on it.
Just bought the CK721, regarding the USBC connectivity being recesses, Its own supplied USBC cable would not fit unless I shaved the sides. Why the recess that to be a such a tight fit is just silly as now I can only charge it with that shaved cable.
@@maildump4395 I ask someone who uses Akko cs silver (cuz that's what I'm using) he said that cherry profile on a north-facing pcb and using Akko cs silver switches don't have interference.
i have it and i love it but one big thing is the right shift key is 1.5u and i cant find any shift key that size! they could have just used 1.75 !! also if they ever come out with different plates then honesty will be a perfect keyboard for the price plus im pairing it with the mm712 mouse
Thanks for covering the more budget friendly options man. A lot of the other keyboard youtubers I follow lean more towards the enthusiast grade stuff which is cool and all but not really for everybody especially since there's also a lot of good stuff in this less expensive price range like you've shown
I like CM but their custom keeb line is wasted. I still dont understand why they release the ck720 (lacks wireless) and the mk721 (non hotswap) - instead of just one kb with all the features in it.
I hate that they don't include the right numpad like they did the master keys pro M white where numpad and arrow section of the keyboard are merged. Also, don't buy Microsoft products as Microsoft Office apps are online and free on their official MS website. Your documents are stored in a cloud too.
Was interested in the AC067 until i found out that the mode switch is under the spacebar, which kindda sucks. The budget goto 65% aluminum right now is the finalkey v65 which ticks all features. Its basically a budget zoom65/qk65.
I don't have twitter or reddit unfortunately so I've missed the past few giveaways, but as always I really enjoyed this week's vid. I appreciate the thoroughness of your reviews and the clarity with which you articulate product comparisons (I'm a big fan of the TH66 and TH80). The budget custom keyboard community is a better place with you in it. Keep up the great work man!
The shocking this is that you're recommending this over keychron. I don't know if there's a single area this beats a v1 other than that swappable face plate.
Cool that they updated it. Many people were looking forward to the 721 and then they took so long to get it to market that everyone had become more used to boards with hot swap and other features being more common as Akko etc became popular. So I saw a lot of people telling CM the original model was too little too late. Just recently found out they've updated it now with hot swap and dampening inside. Almost want to give it a try now.
A new budget keebs has entered the market named monsgeek m1 (akko sub brand) which is aluminum 75% (same as the mod 007s v2)and it is like $70 for the baresbone kit. hoped you could review it soon 🎉
For me its still more on the gamer gamer pre-built kb side than custom board. Custom is buying just a kit and putting whatever brand or type of switches and keycaps you prefer. Just my thoughts.
Damn, those stabs have no play between the plate and stab housing. They look like they could almost pass as PCB mounted. For 100 USD it seems to be a really nice keyboard and will likely be much easier to find in stock than something like the Keychron V2.
Hey so I recently got gifted my first mechanical keyboard and I’ve been obsessed with trying to find the best mods for it. It’s a keychron k8 with brown switches. The first think I did was a silicone mold which went great but now I want to change out the switches for a quieter linear that comes pre lubed. Any suggestions? Also I use the keyboard primarily for typing and I want a set of key caps that will help maximize my productivity, should I stick with cherry profile?
Lost me at the plastic body... I suppose it'll be good for travel since it's lighter. But it's not even BT/wireless. I think there are better options out there.
Hey Los, I tried to follow the giveaway instructions, I have the necessary accounts and followed instructions but cant seem to find the required post to comment to. I must admit I am not as savvy with some of these social media as I wish I was lol. love the vids and just getting into this..must have watched at least 50 vids in the past week. very well done. side note: I haven't seen anyone use or mention Plastidip as an option for dampening,
Great vid! Btw you should check on royal kludge's pro keyboard series. Insane value with the aluminum case I'm currently building an rk68 pro with custom spray paint, double shot abs keycaps and feker matcha switches and it all costs me less than 200$ !
Los, seems that there are scammers tagging onto your channel using the giveaway as a means of contacting people. I for one had a Telegram message which I now believe wasn't you
It's an LK67 clone... So I'll see what the price is... Ok, comes with foam, 5 pin hotswap, a nice knob, moddable top plate. 100 bucks is straight value. 25-50 on better switches and tapemod will be perfect.
Its not straight value though, that kit is about 50-60 euro or even less i imagine, for the remaining 40 euro you can buy any 70 switches of your liking and also choose a decent pbt keycap set
@@starplatinumrqm I guess it depends on what your time is worth. Comes with case and plate foam. A metal knob. Switches and caps. A fully built lk67 is 88 on Amazon. A kit is closer to 50 on ali but again, what is your time worth + the supplies to mod yourself.
