FLIGHT INFORMATION:
In this Trip Report we are flying from Munich to Copenhagen on a SAS Scandininavian Airlines Airbus A319 in beautiful Retro livery. With the A320neo SAS really updated their cabin product which is now one of the best you can find on European short-haul flights. They have a hybrid inflight service concept with some things for free and a good menu selection. The food quality on SAS is excellent just as their wifi connection. Is it the coolest airline in Europe? Enjoy the video!

SAS is a great airline, not only for short connections, even for long haul flights in Economy. What I dont like is their very high prices to reserve seats prior checkin or their WiFi prices. But the seats in their A330 are great, good legroom and very modern and clean.

Yeah I sat in the A320 Stockholm - Ioaninna then reverse and it was shit - Small legroom - Small tray tables - Uncomfortable seats - Not modern The entire journey Stockholm - Ioannina was 3 hours

SAS is usually pretty good short haul, but long haul is even better. If you go for SAS Plus long haul, you can't go wrong, and the Plus product is very good value for money.

As a Dane, i really prefer SAS. They offer the best connections from CPH and also the best service, fast track and lounge (it even has it´s own coffee bar with baristas making the coffee!) in CPH making them very convenient and miles ahead of the main competitors. I also think that they´ve upped their game with the new cabins. Regarding the food cubes, there´s a very good reason behind the design. The food is served in the cubes rather than a plate etc. minimalizing the space it takes up on the tray table, making it possible for people to work on their PC or doing some paperwork while eating.

thats a joke that cube is so disgusting and it only saves SAS Money when it Comes to cutlery, plates for dish washing. I DO NOT WANT TO WORK OR DO PAPER WORK WHILE EATING. This is the most primitive way to offer a, well so called meal. It looks just like a waste paper basket. ...PATHETIC

@@clausstimpfig3803 The newer generation loves to watch series/movies on their ipads or laptops while they are on their flights, to have a plate in the way on your table while eating and also until the crew can have it cleaned can be a nuisaince. Now I understand if some ppl prefer to eat calmly while not doing anything aswell, however the cube isnt impossible to eat from, hell if I can eat sushi with two bamboo sticks im sure ppl can learn to eat from a cube...

In BA, they are under the seat which really detracts form legroom. BA shorthaul is kinda a mess nowadays, except their Heathrow-Moscow flights that are operated with long-haul aircraft and service.

@@JackJackProductions BA does not offer the long-haul service on the Madrid route. All flights to Moscow have long-haul catering across all classes, working IFE and lie-flat beds in business + first with all the amenities.

Nice trip report, I love the crew announcements you included in the report. Shame there were no clips of the crew. I follow some other reporters out there and they put way too much emphasis on lounges which most of us out here don't visit anyway. Keep up the good work.

Can recommend flying SAS for those younger than 26 as SAS offers well-priced Youth tickets which are available for anybody who is part of their Frequent Flier program, Eurobonus. Limited amount of tickets available for each and they aren't quite as cheap as LCC's if you're out in good time, but round trip in Europe can cost around €150 and long-haul to US/Asia can be found for under €300.

The cabin and design looks nice indeed. Though the service is much worse than available on mamy other european carriers. Have to pay additionally for coke or juice when on LH, KL, LX you can go for complimentary wine, beer, snack.

flew with their 737-700 and 737-800 from Düsseldorf to Svalbard and back. The flight is via Oslo and Tromso, around 6h flying time total. First problem: Online Check In. If you have booked the a flight with layovers, the Online Check In only works for the first flight. You can't check in and chose a seat for the next flights. Talked to the SAS Hotline about this and got the answer " Yeah we know, can't change it" So for 2 of the 3 legs I had random seats and had to get my boarding tickets at the Check In desk. Second Problem. Room in the cabin: I was flying regular economy class, just like you did. I found the seat width as well the foot room on the middle seat questionable. I'm 181cm and weigh 90kg and with the armrests down they would poke into my sides. On the middle seat is basically no space for your feet. The seat rows are attached under the middle seat, so the space under the seat in front of you is fully occupied with those attachment points. Cabin luggage: Usually I like it when cabin luggage regulations aren't that strict, but when half of the passengers on the flight are taking things like electric guitar cases and other large items in the cabin, there is simply no space left for regular carry-on luggage. There is no space under the seats either to store it. So in the worst case you have to fly with your carry on bag on your legs for the entire flight.

bmw e92 m3 2007 I literally dont get the appeal of emirate, I hate connecting long-haul fights. Moreover Dibai airport is a maze. In terms of service, Emirates is hardly better in business and economy, unless you wanna get drunk in economy.

Sehr cooler Vlog, wußte gar nicht das CPH so einen tollen Anflug von der Seeseite aus hat. Das mit Deboarding sowohl mit der Jetbridge als auch normaler Gangway habe ich noch nirgendwo anders gesehen. Vielleicht sind andere Airports baulich auch nicht dafür eingerichtet oder haben nicht ggfls. nicht genug Vorfeldbusse. Sind am CPH Airport nicht die knallgelben Busse unterwegs?

Turkish blows the competition out of the sky ... free liquor and entertainment, free toiletries bag of goodies, 2 large check in bags and skis travel for free, more room and comfort than any other airline in Europe. Food available throughout whole flight at no cost. A toy for every kid. Flowers in the lavs. Clean. And great cabin crews. Istanbul is looking to replace Frankfurt as the major European hub and take the lead with a new mega airport and more Turkish Airline airplanes

turkish is a de luxe Airline compared to SAS. And they have very affordable fares where everything (meal and alc beverages) are included in the fare. SAS is a Nightmare These days.

Turkish flies from Istanbul and Ankara to European destinations. Most of these flights are more midhaul. Honestly, I prefer SAS. Crews are friendlier cause they are being paid properly... In addition, SAS is much more eco-friendly. I flew with Turkish from Kazan to London once, after the more convenient Kazan-Kiev-London connection got shut down. On both legs of the flight the pax in economy were really annoying....

Dude I would be completely chill with them if they didn’t have curtains installed everywhere, what is the point of having the screens in front of you if a curtain is going to cover it. And I also dislike how you can adjust the chairs on bigger planes, on my recent flight, it hadn’t passed 20(not even 10) minutes of takeoff, and then people in front of me had their chairs down the whole way, this is bad for all people because it makes a chain of people having to need to adjust their chairs, giving the ones behind them no space whatsoever. It’s very stupid of their airplanes to be designed so terrible.

als SAS diese Bemalung hatte waren sie eine Deluxe Airline. Mit First class , Business class und Eco. Der so genannte service hier ist runter gefahren bis zum geht nicht mehr. Kein champagner, noch nicht mal zum kaufen erhältlich. Mahlzeiten müssen gekauft werden. Dieser "Ess Würfel" aus der SAS Plus Klasse sieht so primitiv aus. Die Essenspräsentation widerwärtig. Wie eine Abfalltüte... Getränke müssen bezahlt werden..na ja Kaffee, Wasser.... Wo , bitte, wo ist hier ein einziger Lichtblick zu sehen? SAS was ist nur aus dir geworden... Da lob ich mir Lufthansa oder Air FRance oder Tap….
