There was a shop @ the basement of Beauty World S.C run by a group of ladies teaching sewing classes many years back! Not sure if they are still around though. I remembered trying to sign up for their courses as I wanted to learn to sew my own clothes. Unfortunately, they turned my down as I am a male. Turn out, they only took in female students ONLY!

if you walk up the staircase outside Beauty World Plaza, i think can walk to another old mall, Bukit Timah Shopping centre. The walkway used to be covered and you had to walk underneath a flyover to Bukit timah sc. Damn i never visited this area like almost 30 yrs lol thanks for the vidz maybe one day i come visit this area again i remember Beauty world SC used to have a very huge cd shop used to sell posters, photos of artistes as well. I think no more right. How much is the cactus toy? LOL saw on shein selling at $10+ SGD

Are you the 1003 DJ? Your voice sounds so familiar. By the way, my mum and her sister always bring me to beauty world when i was a kid. There used to be a lot of fabric stores there and my mum and aunt love buying their fabrics there to tailor made their dresses. I always got bored and says i want to go home, then my auntie will tell me that she will buy me toys after their shopping so i will behave and wait till they are done. There are a lot of toy shops there too in the 80s and i always get a toy end of the day.
