Hi Guys! Welcome back to my channel. I am incredibly overwhelmed but the response on my Aldi v Lidl video. Hence, I decided to make a detailed video on two of the largest supermarkets in Switzerland. I believe Switzerland has the best produce and organic fruits and vegetables. Although it can be quite expensive I have tried to show in certain aspects you may be able to save money. I do hope you enjoy watching it just as much as I enjoyed making this video.

Thank you so much for posting this video!! I was a little anxious as to how expensive it was going to be getting food in Switzerland. Now I feel relieved after seeing the prices that it's not too expensive as long as one stays with Swiss branded items and avoids American branded food items. Thank you for showing the prices along with all the food items!!!

it’s definitely not as expensive as people say it is. Plus they have several deals especially Saturday evenings or on Wednesdays which is great. Bulk purchase also saves a lot. Have a wonderful time in Switzerland

Does these stores have microwaves? For instance I buy some cooked dishes and want to warm them up for eating.

Specific stores have microwaves but they aren’t easily available. I have come across a couple of them in coop and none in migros as of now.

Another question that I have, is do they allow for purchasing groceries with a credit card? We would like to not have to bring so much cash with us on vacation and instead use contactless payments for most items with a credit card. Fortunately our credit cards do not have foreign transaction fees.

yes credit/debit cards are widely used everywhere including groceries.

Yes they are allowed and revolut is a great app which I use when I travel around Europe it works great for currency conversion, withdrawal and card payment.

You mentioned shops closed on Sunday, any idea if that applies to shop in Zurich Airport?

I am not sure about the airport and wether they would have coop and migros there’s is on in Geneve. However coop pronto in some specific places such as the railway station would be open on Sundays too it’s a smaller yet adequate store.

No they do not have any such app. They have a supercars which allows you to earn points on your purchase.

@@livetotravel7995 Please do a piece (more slowly) focusing on more basic items. We love to cook, and cook from scratch-including baking. We will be staying in an airbnb for this reason. Flour, sugar, fruits, vegetables, milk , meat, eggs-the staples...not just the convenience stuff.
