Coos Bay is a city located in Coos County, Oregon, United States, where the Coos River enters Coos Bay on the Pacific Ocean. The city borders the city of North Bend, and together they are often referred to as one entity called either Coos Bay-North Bend or Oregon's Bay Area.
North Bend is a city in Coos County, Oregon, United States with a population of 9,695 as of the 2010 census. North Bend is surrounded on three sides by Coos Bay, an S-shaped water inlet and estuary where the Coos River enters Coos Bay and borders the city of Coos Bay to the south.

I left coos bay in 1989 when I was 18, I can see not much has changed, and it still looks very much the same. I am now 51, and I wish that I had never left. Tom Sisson

“Incoming car almost turns into me”. Prick drivers from coos bay/north bend. They were there in 1988, and they are there today. It is sort of a street language, let the other driver know I want to turn and maybe he/she will let me go first. Tom Sisson

I was born in Coos Bay 1974. Left when I was about 14. This video is flooding my brain with old memories good and bad. A lot of the town looks the same but a lot has changed. I have often thought about visiting but this is a close second. Thank you for posting.

I have lived in this area for 61 years now. Graduated from Marshfield high school in 77'. I was born in the north bend hospital that you past about a block from the 101 turn onto Virginia Avenue. You should have drove out to Charleston to see the beaches and the jetty and marina. Nice drive and really pretty overlooks.

@@JS-lx9fi but that north bend hospital closed. And the hospital in coos bay closed. They made 1 bigger hospital for the area. And they have added on and on through the years.

@@loritanner4478 Thanks. I’m wondering mainly for my mom who is blind and in her 70’s. We are planning to move somewhere along the Oregon Coast. Hoping to find a place that has a decent hospital.

I live a few hundred yards from the sign (0:05) when you enter North Bend. This is what arrested my attention when I moved here in September 2020!

I left Coos Bay Oregon in 1989 when I was 17 or 18; I am now 51. Over the last several weeks I have been planning a trip to coos bay/ north bend. Since then I have been having dreams about my upcoming trip, and your video, in many places, looks just like what I have been dreaming about. The images in your video look just like the images in the dreams that I have been having at night while I have slept. Tom Sisson

I was born in Coo, Bay in the early 50’s and lived in Allegany till I was 20. Most people don’t know where Allegany is unless they lived in that area or went fishing or hunting. Maybe was a logger before the 60’s, After more than 70 years I have Coos Bay, and North Bend etched in my mind. If you want to see beautiful country go to Gold and silver falls up the east fork of Allegany. You will have to walk in alittle but it’s beautiful. Allegany is a very small country area about 15 miles from Coos Bay. You have to go through East Side .

Which one? Of the three I can think of off the top of my head, The Hotel North Bend is still a residential hotel, the Hall Building is corporate office space, and the Tioga was still under renovation last I heard.
