good ass officer man. didn't flip out for the conceal carry. here in Cali they would of handcuff u and stuff. and he was fair with the traffic stop !

You took it like a man, and he delivered it like a gentleman. This is how 99.5% of interactions with police will go if you act like a normal human being. A lesson for a lot of bad boys who don't know how to act when they get caught and end up getting shot.

Attended AU for a year and had contact with the local officers there a few times, very respectable authorities who all seem to only want to bring safety to a bustling college town.. war damn

See. This is a good police officer. He didn't freak out about a gun. Told him what he did wrong (*With the biker understanding*) and got through everything smooth. Finally a smart cop.

He seemed cool and gestured you where to challenge the ticket. If he has no A Holes to fight that day in Court he likely wont show up.

Around 10-15 years ago, I was riding a sport bike through a small town that is a known speed trap. The speed limits decrease very quickly from 65 coming into the town to probably 25 in the center of town, but in stages. I was aware of it, so I was being very careful to stay within the speed limit for whatever zone I was in. It was late at night and I apparently missed one of the signs, so I was 10 mph over whatever that zone was supposed to be. Next thing I knew, I had blue lights behind me. Pulled over and when he said I was speeding, I was genuinely surprised and told him that I was trying to be very diligent about the various zones they had in the town. The officer said that given what I was riding and the fact that it would go a lot faster than what he was driving and that I had not decided to outrun him, he would not give me a ticket. To say the least, I was surprised -- one of those things that I doubt will ever happen to me again. But then again, considering the fact that I was not a typical young kid rider with an attitude, that might have helped also. These days, the old joints just don't like the riding position of the sport bike, so it just sits in the garage collecting dust and I ride my Harley instead.

The Officer did his job, and also acted in the "spirit of the Law" as well as "the letter of the Law". The Driver IMMEDIATELY informed the Officer of his concealed weapon. NO persons were harmed during this RTS. Both parties went on their way. My God... if ALL RTS were like this! When you are a CITIZEN that allows an OFFICER OF THE LAW to do his or her job WITHOUT "difficulty", everyone gets to go home! It's so simple!

Ive NEVER BEEN STOPPED WITHOUT GETTING CRUCIFIED, UNTIL....I got my CPL/Concealed Pistol License. After that, Ive got few breaks. I think police realize if you have a CPL, you're not a criminal, you care about your community and family enough to protect them, even with your life if it comes down to it, and I believe police sometimes understand the respect and care you have as a human and that respect is returned by them to us.

He is a very professional police officer... and very nice to just write up a tailgaiting citation. He is right though, most bikers don't stop and for that he was nicer about it.

GREAT police interaction! Kudos to the Officer. Rider attitude was good as well, but... I NEVER condone riding like a moron. I have family out on the roads and I very much resent the risk you take... it's not all about YOU. OTHERS suffer when you die, your parents, siblings, those who love you suffer and you pose a risk to MY FAMILY and your DESIRE to have fun is not an excuse for putting a family in a mini-van at risk or a pedestrian you did not see. You get to die if you want, but other innocents you have ZERO RIGHT TO PUT OTHER INNOCENTS AT RISK.

It’s better to just be polite get a ticket for one then take it to court. I got a ticket for rather the same thing plus 20 mph over the speed limit (wsp wrote it for 10 over since I was polite) took it to court and got it dismissed. The road isn’t a place to argue.

Rider admits mistake and cooperative, officer is doing it correctly (not hostile or intimidating) so everything's cool.

You have violated the rules of youtube! You have shown the police officer for being human and nice, and you doing something wrong and admitting to it. You do not know you will not be invited to whatever awards are done on YOutube regarding the police, and how dare you! :) This kind of interaction is the normal for police and it just does not have the pizazz of showing the cop in a bad light thus it almost never seems to be seen.
