That F-250 with the 6.4 PowerStroke, it ran perfect when you started it but that misfire I’m 99% sure was the truck going into regen, that would also explain the smoke.

That van with no key, should be the same as our 6.0 was when we left the key at home, pop the lower dash cover off, should be a box that has 2 torx head bolts, pull it off, and you can slide the switch and have full ignition control.

On the 350, I suspect you had the positive and negative reversed on one of the batteries. That would explain some of what you were seeing, especially having it sit at 16v without it running. Also, look at the placement of the positive and negative connections on the next pickup you looked at.

Hey, Randy on the handicap van there is one place that you did not check for a key above the drink holders but under the radio there is a spot for paper work and I have had a key make it’s way in there before.

That 6.4 single rear wheel pickup has a cracked piston that’s a classic sound thumping misfiring sound.

You’re a gamblin man going after those 6.4s lol I’m an inspector for an auction company. We joke around about how good the milkshake or knock is going to be out of these when they come in 😂

Have been looking at the f350 from copart to bid on and export to Zambia. These could get some use on great off roads. Hopefully will manage to get one exported

That F250 would be great for MWM.

It wouldn’t be too much to get a key for that van, as it doesn’t use a key with a chip in it, as I remember, even for more recent ones than that. I used to drive those vans at the last company I worked for, a few 15 passenger vans, and also had worked for a Ford dealership.

What about the black ford van beside the handicap van?

Some of those E series do have storage boxes under the seats. Also no E series from this gen has a glove box over on the passenger side, the glove box, if equipped, would be on the backside of engine doghouse.

And sorry for the short story…commented early on in the video…but the second truck I noticed the miss as you walked around, also the boost guage didn’t creep up, could be something small or could be a bigger issue! (Personally at 45 or 5k out the door I would’ve rolled the dice!) … And you got me on the spark plug/coil pack…I stared at the tv like …”please no no they’re gonna roas-phewww…”😂😂 hope your shoulder isn’t giving you too much grief and all is well!! Thanks for keeping the content flowing!!

Just a FYI for everyone reading this, If you lose the key to your vehicle, then take your VIN# and proof you own the vehicle to the parts department of a dealership that sells your brand of vehicle and they can make you a basic key like that van takes in about 5 minutes, for like $10-$15. the price is higher for electronic keys and keys that have built-in key fobs, but they can make you one of those also.

F250 & 350 are still worth throwing a motor in or a trans if nothing else major wrong. I got an F350 for $5k, sunk about $13k more in it and it has been chuggin' along for 2+ years. Twice been offered cash for more than what I have in it, but I couldn't replace it with anything comparable for the price

I'm with you Randy, that van would be the perfect gift vehicle. You're not in the position too buy it and spend $2500 and then gift it away. Shame about that F350, looks good from a distance. I had a Fox body 89 pony convertible in 1996 and wished I kept it now. I abandoned it in Ohio when I was moved too the UK in 2002. Even then it still was in very good nic, always maintained by me and the USA army guys. They were great, snuck my car in and never had too pay a cent. Still wonder if it is there today, but doubt it.

The F250 doesn't really run the best, unless I'm not used to hearing powerstroke engines.. kinda sounds like the injectors are working weird.

I would bet the handicap van is a non-chip key. I could be worng. It’s a big risk. But I’m with you Randy, I bet it runs.

The passenger side glove box drawer is on the side facing the drivers seat under the passenger seat

Randy the reason it got hot was that was the main battery. Them 6.4 diesel engines were not that great. My dad had 1 from new did every thing by the book went 200k then just died. They were only good for 100k to 150.

They may have had the van mistaken with the old school Dodge Caravans from the late '80s they actually had a glove box under the passenger seat. Don't get me wrong, some newer Vans may have as well, but I know for a fact the 87 Caravans did. That lift in that van, if it works is worth $1000 by itself, ask me how I know.

I have worked at a lot of auctions and it's been my experience banks and insurance Company's won't move off what they want for a vehicle and they wind up floating from auction to action have worked at two auctions here in OK and seen the same vehicle at both.

sometimes there's might be a hide a key, bumper fender well etc. or contact the registered owner and ask if they found the key. what's the lot number on the 250? and which outfit? I'm would be interested.

My 6.0 had a completely dead cylinder and rough idled intermittently and also no check engine light and it was just a lose injector.

Sd are good trucks i know there heavier built than a chevy/gmc of same category i know because i have both and the ford is way more sturdier built rig i can tell by looking at the frames the leaf springs and hangers etc.

A High School friend has his in-laws 2010 Chrysler Town and Country van similar to the red ford. Only 35,000 miles. They never did drive it much beyond Dr Appts etc. He took it to the Dealer, clean bill of health. I think $15,000 would buy it.

Second truck has an injector issue. But being a 6.4 it could be a host of problems. I got over 400k on my 6.4

I remember u saying u wish u could hall ur uncle in the wheel chair van ...well i would take a chance and make it happen...since it's not a chipped key u could probably find a key for maybe 12 or 20$ on eBay or possibly Walmart...make ur dream come true

If I knew how to work on Ford trucks, I would get the first one that would not start, and the second Ford, I would drive it for awhile to see if it quits misfiring!
