The Altima would be a good project for RU-vid content. Replacing the bags, resewing the seat, seat belt[s], resetting the crash module etc. a lot of work. Looks like it'd a nice car in the end.

Randy looking at that 1500 silverado that's banged up everywhere , the last one you shew man I'd buy that mercedes S550 in a heartbeat man its so much nicer and better in condition , all it needs is a key , a bumper if that bumper can't be saved , and that chrome pieces need addressed , and of course take care of the hoses and the coolant reservoir and finally that fuse box and wiring , ohh and of course the hood release man that's a good car right there it also has some sick mean aggressive wheels to it , love it. And plus I love that Z71 SILVERADO BABY!!!! oh yeah I'm a huge fan these Z71'A man they are awesome machines !!!! Randy that Z71 as you said is a steal it's brand new and I believe its a starter or the wiring to the starter issue bcos that click and everything turns off sure it is unless its like flood or somethin' bcos let me tell you underneath there was no damage at all it was perfect so its most likely the starter / wiring , man thats a beast and that was favorite in this walkaround. Of course loved that 2015 Altima , they are nice !!! I 'll tell you that and these body style's me and my family love these 2013-2015 altima's are beautiful and Randy you must -- BUY IT RANDY!! it's a nice one even goozquad loves these altima's and sentra's man !!! Get it randy its a good one for Rebuild as well ( needs a new - wheel , CV axle , control arm AND A REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT OF THE SUBFRAME and align the body banels , basically Randy same case as your BMW Z4 beast same repar's needed for this altima as well) it deserves being rebuilt .Also wish you could buy that S550 or even more the Z71 dude . Hey Randy, those pathfinders and frontiers in the 2005 era and if I’m not mistaken, that’s the first year of the great 4.0l v6 that is still in the frontier up to 2020 and it’s a timing chain motor.

Silverado is sad. I understand your hesitant. I had purchased a few Chevy Celebrities and a Cutlass Ciera wagon from Suffolk County on auction. Most did not last long, except the Ciera lasted 5 years after I bought it. Great content as akways.

On that 97 Chevy it looks like they made a homemade starter what the long wire. Those automatic gear shifters on the Chevys are notorious for sticking.

I love nissans for the reliability and head room. My husband has a 2012 nissan frontier and he absolutely loves it. We are even thinking about getting a new one when this current one dies

The hood being open was the issue with that truck I had the same issue with a 2015 GMC Yukon Denali all I did was close the hood and it fired up. I’m a fellow mechanic here in Hawaii.

The VECI on the Nissan Altima is placed on the underside of the hood, while you was opening the hood, you can see it.

For the pathfinder those 4.0s are derived from fords sohc motors which were plagued with timing chain issues. I have an xterra first gen with the 3.3. That are bullet proof long as the timing belt you speak of is done.

Randy, I've been watching you for a while now honestly one car I think you should keep your eye out for is a late 90s early 2000's bmw 7 series. They are going up in value and if you can find a 740 or 750 I'd just like to see one at copart I got one as a donation at my local auction for 240.00 1 owner timing chain guides done and in beautiful shape cleaned it up and sold it for 8500.00

I’m thinking with that s550 that maybe there was a air suspension issue and they tried to drive it and that’s how the bumper got damaged. And with the electrical maybe they tried to fix the suspension. And did you look in that blue bag for the key? It could have been there

The Nissan 4.0 V6 in the Pathfinders, Xterras, and Frontiers are actually timing chain motors. I had a 06 Nissan Frontier and have experience working on Nissan Motors.

I have a gmc the same year as that Silverado when the battery dies it takes about 5 minutes to change then it will start I find it annoying

That Pathfinder has the 4.0L VQ40DE engine. It is a timing chain engine, not timing belt. It's the truck version of the 3.5 that was in the Z car you had on the channel a while back. The 05 -09 Xterra Frontier and Pathfinders all have the same powertrain and they had issues with timing chains and guides as well as the radiators leaked coolant into the transmission fluid which killed the transmissions. Stay away from 2005-2009 Xterra, Frontier, or Pathfinder unless its a manual transmission and you verify that it runs with no whine from the engine.. The 4.0 is a great engine. 2010 and up are awesome trucks. I have an Xterra and a Frontier, both have the 4.0. Love them.... you just don't want the problem years...

Yeah, that old Chevy would be a project. One that you’d have to totally rebuild. But hey, if it’s your thing, you could definitely build it like you want it but have more in it than you’ll ever see! The only way it’d be half worth it would be if it were 4wd.

S550 probably had one of those pay as you go immobilizers on it from the dealer or finance company. It's a repo, so they would have ripped it out after they took the car.

That wire goes to the battery and if you can get it for under $500 buy it and use it for content those truck are going way up in value.

Stay away from 2005 and up Nissan Pathfinder/Frontiers! They had radiator failures that led to coolant mixing with the transmission fluid then leading to transmission failure.
