Hey I just wanted to tell you how much my 6 year old loves your channel! He watches it every morning!! He could watch anything but he chooses to watch you do your Copart walk arounds(that's what that place is called right?) I just wanted to say thank you so much for your content you are teaching my son something I can't and you never swear or talk inappropriate I know this isn't for kids but just thank you sooo much for what you do!
I love those old Cavaliers. I dont know why, but I do. There is something about them that I just love. There are so many of them still running where I live. They are all rusted from the snow and salt but outlived lots of cobalts.
You know why land rovers have such nice interiors? Owners spend more time out of the car than in it. Can't wear out a seat if the car's in the shop all the time
Ik. I feel like you either get bomb deals or you mess up badly buying them. I also feel like lowballing some random people for their “junk” cars on Kijiji or Autotrader is safer and will make you more profit lol
@@Speedycat they should cap what the owner can ask....it makes copart look bad when they ask what they do,....and the seller should pay the fees...they're the ones making the money
Just want to let you know. I enjoy your content very much. I wasn't subscribed, but due to the events that have happened, and my observation that both you and Santa's Workshop are both ethical, and honest players,I subscribed to both of you. Hope you both keep up the good work!
Randy, the scooter has an automatic transmission. In order to start it you have to hold in the break and push the start button at the same time. Oh, don’t forget to have the key in the on position. 😁😁😁
My dad used to have the 04 Chevy Cavalier, looks exactly the same as the one in the video. Except my dad’s Chevy had a manual transmission. It always never wanted to start in the cold morning. He got really tired of it not starting because it would cause him to be late to work so he sold it and drove the 08 Saturn Outlook instead. Kind of miss that Chevy Cavailer even though it had annoying problems
The warning symbol of a round gear with an exclamation point in the middle is a transmission fault warning. This may be a temporary issue or may be a current fault. You can check this as follows: Put shifter in the NUETRAL position, set the park brake and turn the engine off. Wait a few seconds and restart the engine. If the warning is gone, there is no current fault and the transmission will operate normally. If the warning light does not go away (or returns again), there is a current fault and the system will need to be diagnosed by a technician using the diagnostic software systems to check the transmission fault codes. Note that if the transmission fault warning light is on, the transmission will be put into a “fail safe “or “limp” mode. This mode only allows the transmission to operate in 3rd or 4th gear, without any other shifting or gear changes.
Those warning lights are indicative of having low battery voltage, most will clear with scanner now it’s running and charging.also that gear light you mention, came on my bmw when my Steering angle sensor was out of alignment
The buttons by the gear shift on the bmw change how fast the transmission shifts also how hard. They can really shift hard on the highest setting, when my dad was test driving his f83 when getting into a highway the rear tires screeched like a manual haha iys lots of fun.
I just purchased a 2002.. if the air flow actuator ticket stuck open or closed if it's stuck closed the car will not run if it's stuck open it idles high.. there is videos on RU-vid about it I took my off and cleaned it and now it runs fine.. you can get to headlights for $94 off eBay.. you can sell that car easily for $2,500.. if I was you I would jump on that buy it.. I bought that car for my daughter this year and she loves it..
Convert it to Manual is Very Easy. SMG Trans is the same as the Manual, there are kits to convert it, it's fairly straightforward. Also increases the value dramatically.
That up and down button on the SMG Box controls how hard it shifts into the next gear and out to the previous gear. For track and hard driving, a lot of people have it to it’s max setting as it changes the shift speed a little faster and for normal driving it’s just left to user preference. The SMG box isn’t as desirable as a manual, but it’s an M3! Can’t hate on that 3.2 engine. That one you’re looking at tho, looks like it’s been thrown around and fell into the wrong hands.
The prices on those UTVs are crazy. We have a very long driveway and have looked at outfitting one with a plow and tracks to keep the driveway clear and they're crazy money new. I thought maybe I could scarf a broken or beat up one and fix it, but they're just as expensive broken as they are new!
I know this is an older video but that m3 probably the reason most of those lights are on is BMW's do not like to be jump started, the low voltage trips a lot of codes
to turn on the scooter you need to hold on to the right brake handle and press the right yellow button at the same time .. just make sure the scooter side leg is folded. sorry for bad english
1st time I've ever heard of the SMG gearbox was at Wheeler Dealers. Actually Ant, the mechanic converted it from SMG to a manual transmission [ "Ant Makes This BMW M3 The Ultimate Driving Machine | Wheeler Dealers" is the title on youtube] quite interesting and it increases the value apparently. It would have been interesting to see a video of this conversion Randy, but yeah, too many light on the dashboard for it to worth it :) Keep it up! Also, just a feedback, if I may. Previously you've released videos of cars you've bought before the Copart Walk Around. I know you did this because you had lots of videos prepared for your vacation, but my personal opinion is that it 'ruins' the Copart Walk Around video because we already know that you've won that car and what problems it has.
I had a 2006 Land Rover LR3 V8 SE. Brand new from the dealership, literally had 2 miles on it. Had it for only 27 months time, in that 27 months and 13,000 miles, I had the air suspension fail numerous times, I had the entire dash light up on me in the middle of driving to where I had to pull over and restart the car to get rid of all the idiot lights on the dashboard. I had the rear latch for the hatch fail to the point where I couldn't open my hatch, the dealer had to crawl into the cargo area from the back seat, they had to cut a hole into my hatch panel to access the latch, then they were able to open the hatch and remove the entire panel, replace the defective latch and install a new panel. Also I had wanted the daytime running light option activated on my 2006 LR3 which didn't come with drl's from the factory, but the dealer was able to activate them using a computer and what ended up happening was all of my lights were constantly on, I had headlights, tail lights, marker lights all on even during the day, and so because of this the factory incandescent bulbs were constantly burning out quickly, so a quick fix on my part I changed every single light bulb to LED and didn't have an issue anymore. I have to agree with you that the LR3 drives and is built like a tank, has one of the best rides for an suv especially with the air suspension, it just glides right over bumps and you barely feel a thing, fuel economy is poor in them, requires premium fuel and parts and labor costs for them are through the roof. I love the styling and look of Range Rovers but would never want to own one, I would just continue leasing them just to experience all the different models.
Gidday Randy, always look in the glovebox for the manual. This will tell you exactly what that symbol means. I am perfectly aware that men should never be caught reading an instruction book. We can get into a lot of trouble with the Men's Union if found out.
Have that exact same 2012 LR4 has almost 100k miles and only 1 major issue. The fuel injectors failed around 85k miles. Other than that just routine oil changes. Very reliable so far… That clicking noise when you start it is a dead battery. My battery in that car has died and it doesn’t even try to crank it makes a single click and doesn’t start. Its the battery. You should’ve tried to charge the battery for a bit longer.
Hey Randy...thanks for the videos! When are we going to see your new garage? What’s going on with the Corvette? How much do you think you could get a Silverado/Sierra like the one behind you in the opening of this video for? I’m looking for an 01 to 07 with an 8 foot box. If you could get one I’d be happy to buy it from Weird Beard. Keep the videos coming! And stay away from those BMWs man!
Serious About Salvage almost. It decides how aggressively the clutch engages on the car. The higher the value the harder the clutch would engage (which is ironically better for the car as it will have least wear, but it will be super uncomfortable).
Randy, Here in Germany I have seen 2002 M3 SMG on the used car platforms for 15-18K with around 100k miles in decent condition. I guess the real question is how much it will cost over there for parts....
I can't wait to see your painted Cavalier when you going to get that video out I want to see how good it looks and how it turned out I seen it on Instagrams really that good
Haha my husband had a 2001 toyota echo that he bought for 4500 with 143k miles... he drove it everyday and we drove it across country, the interior and exterior were destroyed but the engine was strong as ever. When we donated it, the odo was 301k. Toyota engines definitely will out run the body :)
The BIN price for that BMW M3 is the top retail price for that age of vehicle. The majority of people that complain about Land Rovers have probably never owned one. If they were that bad, why do so many people own them?
SMG transmissions don't engage while the hood or the door is open. That's why it wasn't moving. Also the button that looks like a cell phone service guage behind the shifter is how fast the transmission changes gears. Besides it is the timing of how with the gear shifts up to the next great. The shorter it is the faster it slams to the next great and the longer it is, the longer it holds the clutch to shift making it more like a luxury car shift where you can feel the clutch engage and slowly shift to to the next gear.
To be more clear, I shouldn't say "SMG" doesn't shift while door and hood are open. Because even my 750Li would do that and it wasn't SMG. But my M5 V10 E60 was the same exact way. So I guess it's so BMW's that are programmed that way.
Man I have been watching you for a long time I love your videos and personality wish I could get a reply from you keep it up man you are doing a great job
Thanks man for the reply I have been so happy for you how you have grown the past few years being able to but the hell kitty the Vette and the Cummins I know people will hate but you do you and keep it up I love seeing your success you work super hard for the videos
Range Rovers are kick ass. You can't check the coolant on that Range Rover like that. Once the battery goes dead, ( 24 hours or more ) it takes a re program, built in theft protection.
BMWs have been utter shite since the mid-90s. How long can they go on trading on past reputation? I guess it doesn't matter so much when people lease their cars and change them every two or three years).
Richard Edwards I know. Just lease the car for 4-6 years drive around 50.000 miles and just give it back and get a new one. That way, the person that buys it used gets all the problems. But, I don’t care. If you choose BRAND over value and you choose to pay 4x the money for a BMW and not a Kia, Hyundai, Acura, Lexus etc then that’s what you get.
@@randomvids2882 Yep people seem more concerned about badge versus value for the money. I used to work at a Nissan dealership and we would stock 10-12 off lease base model BMWs, Audis and MBs in our used lot and they sold like hot cakes. They always helped the sales people add 3 to 5 more cars a month to their sales numbers so we loved it.
Had a BMW M series all I can suggest is run like the wind I don’t think I seen a day with no warning lights on dash europium cars are only meant to last a short period so BMW can rip you off for repairs
@@TheCarnut123 Really. I've got to give that a go on my Jeep just for the hell. I think the panels are from the USA as they aren't up to Mercedes standard but been told the gearbox is indestructible.
Dude if you're going to be bidding on BMW Mercedes and Audi you really need a small code scanner. The Creator C310 is only about $50. On top of that a dead battery can cause all kinds of problems.
