It's weird how Americans get about tiny little British sports cars. I'm from the UK and just can't get excited about MGBs, Spitfires, Midgets, TR6s etc. Underpowered rot boxes with dreadful electrics, for the most part. And completely unsuitable for US roads, where AC and comfort options are far more important than cornering / handling. That said, my thing is American land yachts, the boatier, floatier and more loaded with troublesome hydraulic options, the better. Continentals, Eldorado's, that kinda thing. Seventies personal luxury cars, Barcaloungers on wheels. And just like a Spitfire in Ohio, completely impractical for the UK with its tiny parking spots, narrow twisty roads and high gas prices. I'm not a biker either but that Indian is indeed a work of art. Never seen one over here. The Yamaha OTOH is what is referred to as a 'Hardly-Davidson'. A less than complimentary term for Japanese and Chinese rip-offs of the chopper / cruiser style. Quite often horrifically underpowered so that learners can ride them, not sure if that applies to the Virago (ver-AH-goh, meaning a female warrior or heroine).

The reason we want to save the cars and trucks,is because we want to save the best years if our life! Brings back good and crazy memories of the 80's and 90's...the younger crowd will understand when they get older.it really is the only way we can push rewind..other than pictures..

I will always have a soft spot for Chrysler’s LH cars (300M, LHS, Concorde, Intrepid). Especially the 300M’s are such a timeless design.

Truimph GT6 I have a engine for it. They are in my opinion rare. i tried to get one an they always went high even the junkers. Parts are cheap. But electric that suck.

Id Love To See A Motorcycle Rebuild On The Channel

The GT6 is easy to work on, the gearbox you take out inside the car, plenty of places supply parts, panels all look like they fit well, good gaps. Prices here in the UK are rising, MK1 and MK2 are more desirable. You need to look inside at the floor pans and inner sills, trunk floor and chassis frame at the back. I have a spare engine you can have but it is near London

Randy I have no idea what that GT6 is worth Stateside but I suspect its more than here in the UK. But here in the UK a car in that condition will fetch £4,000 all day long (that is about the $5k you mentioned). In good restored (but not concourse) condition they fetch £15,000+ (or $18,750) left or Right hand drive doesn't matter. If the body and bonnet (hood) are good you really have nothing too much to worry about but they look sound as does all the chrome. You need to have space to take the body off the chassis to do any work properly and to remount it with the correct insulators. Chassis can rot so get underneath if you can. Gearboxes are bullet proof as is the engine generally. As its a genuine American import it will have the bigger radiator fitted. Rear diffs can need work as will the rear axle drive couplings but with no body on its so easy. Its just general sensible old fashioned mechanics. Remember when this was built? Its your money and risk so I would never tell you what you should do. But I confess this old Brit's heart says 'Buy'. You can make some really good content as the body and bonnet (hood) can go to Weird Beard for any work and the chassis and running gear will fit in your home garage. You would not believe how easy these are to work on once the body is off. I just offer advice and in no way would tell you what to do with your business mate ... its all good to me.

Randy one thing to know about motorcycles is that gas turns to varnish quicker then it does in cars/trucks and will gum up the carbs, that 1100 Virago is a great bike if it fires over, if it doesn't want to fire then the carbs are gummed up, if this happens then 99% of the time it is gummed up carbs and they have to be taken off and rebuilt, if you don't know how to do that a shop can charge upwards of 200 to 500 per carb to clean them also the age of the bike, you will find that most shops will not touch them anymore due to modern bikes having fuel injection. The first rule of thumb about riding is pay an institution to teach you how to ride. Check your community college, your local Harley dealer has riding classes and once you pass the course you will have the endorsement on your drivers license, you can't ride a motorcycle without an endorsement on your drivers license.

Get the 1985 GMC Pickup. It's a Roll Pan on the back of the blue Chevy Pickup.

The GT6 is not a flip car. It's a project car just like that Plymouth from a couple of weeks ago. I'm sure it would create content, but you'd definitely lose money on it if you did not keep it.

Being from the northeast its amazing seeing these older vehicles without any holes in the floor from rust and rot. xD

The Concorde and the Murano also the Chevy Cheyenne truck are come good ones.

If you do buy the GMC you may want to change from idiot lights to the OEM GM Gauges ... easily available from the classic parts suppliers and not very expensive.

Shame about the spitfire your right not a quick flip your format I think is good if I wanted to see a full rebuild I'd watch another channel what you do is what the average joe with some tools and knowhow can do for its as you said getting some of these cars back on the road where they should be keep ot up

Drop the tank in the 85 clean it out and replace EVERY rubber fuel line with ethanol friendly stuff. That is a nice truck once you clean it all up.

The old 85 gmc is clean for an old truck with factory air and a 6cyl auto. Dont pay more than around $500 for it. Get it running by draining the gas and cleaning the carb! Detail it and sell it for $2500. Back of the 93 chevy truck has a ROLL PAN

If you relay want a bike. Go with a Harley 883 sportster. You can get them for under 1500 out the door from copart. easy to wok on. great beginner bikes and parts cheap and easy to find.

WOW the 85 GMC is truly a gem square body. It would be nice with a short bed but the patina is fabulous. I would make it safe, clean it up and leave it as is it would sell in a heartbeat. Maybe to me.

Wow!!!..in UK with such good bodywork . No brainer. In UK running this would make good profit.

Buy the old Chevy pickup. Man a candy apple red metallic paint job, new wheels and tires, a new L88 engine and transmission probably a new rear, a Pioneer sound system with a booster, and reallly good speakers, new interior, new springs, shocks, brakes AC compressor, radiator, and all suspension parts, tinted windows, and a few misc items. When you get all done you should be able to sell it for at least two grand maybe a bit more.

I think I need to come and do a walk around with you in a few months.

I really like the old Nissan there solid the new ones with the CVT Chinese built transmission nothing but headaches are expensive as hell even used

Run away from the old gmc unless you swap in an LS. New wires, brake lines,New suspension, new brakes wheels and tires, interior, paint it black, wood in the bed, 3 inch dual exhaust with electric dumps. You could make it a short bed. A little cutting and welding. 😁👍
