Everyone has a favorite G or YG marker, usually because they love the color. But I actually test alcohol markers to find which colors are the best investment and how they perform at a chemical level. When I recommend a marker, it's a reliable color which makes blending easier and improves your coloring art!
Illustrator and art instructor, Amy Shulke explores Copic Marker YG03 "Yellow Green" and colors Lily of the Valley using a recommended series of excellent beginner greens. What makes YG03 such a beginner friendly color? Amy shows you here test results and swatches to prove why you need this marker in your collection.

Awww, thank you! I'm so glad you're enjoying and learning! Let me know if you have a color you'd like explained. I don't have a set list and am taking suggestions for favorites and bothersome colors.

@@AmyShulke I will keep this in mind! I just had a yucky experience with Blick and that big order of both markers and refills. I ended up returning all the Sketch markers due to the packaging (really, lack of packaging). Several items were missing from the order, and the 14 markers were just tossed loose in the oversized box, so I returned them. I was concerned about the possibility of damage to the markers during a long transit time in warm temps. I kept the refills since they're shrink-wrapped. Do you have any thoughts on whether the markers were subject to being compromised based on how they were shipped? I expected that they'd be in some kind of plastic bag or wrap or bubble packing of some sort.

YES! Sometimes we're using an easy marker and we assume it's our amazing talent... or vice versa, we're using a stubborn marker and we feel stupid. I've also been very humbled by bad paper before :)
