Paul, thanks for the video, was really missing you, way too many scrappers out there. So glad you had the stuff in your storage room so we didn't miss out on a video. I'll pray to the scrap gods for you to get plenty of scrap from now on. Thanks for being you, not too many pleasant people out there scrapping
It's good that all my husband has to do is sit at the house. People call him to come and pick up scrap. Saves wear and tear on the truck. We have a friend in the country that he stores the big stuff and micro processes the good stuff.
Sometimes it helps to provide context. Yes, the economy could be better. However, inflation in the US is much lower than in other countries, including Europe. We did not get here in four years. Try dirty. Under Ronald Reagan, interest rates were 17%. People have selective memories.
Picking up metal with your tires is not recommended. I've gathered up a nail or a screw or two myself that way. Had my garage ask how I knew it was a nail. "I"m looking at it." (LOL) I don't scrap, but I do tag sale. It's been DEAD out there lately; people are selling their own stuff on line and maybe just not buying new pieces. Maybe the stuff has been being nabbed the night before, what there is of it.
🇺🇲🛻🇺🇲 Hey Paul... See your plugging along...😉 May I share a little advise with plugging.... I have always moved my truck so that I can lay on the ground with the spot at 9 or 3 o'clock to get better leverage when boring out the screw/bolt/ nail spot as the steel belts can really grab hold of the bore tool. Once done I'm in the perfect position to take a nap.🤣😂😅 God bless my brother glad the bolt didn't actually go through...praise the Lord.
Praise the Lord, your tire is intact... I feel ya with not wanting to do something... Gotta clean out stuff not needed and donate... My motivation is more space, less clutter...more room to move in my mobile home...😊
Hey Paul, I've recently started scrapping and I saw a video by Thubprint that you can cut off the plugs, boil them in water for about 30ish minutes, then take pliers and pull out the brass! A great way in my opinion to increase profit somewhat easily.
Put stuff away???...are you kidding?? I would never find it then! LOL!! I like your method of processing scrap. Sometimes the stress and time of breaking it down further is really not worth it. Time and volume are the key factors in the balancing act of scrapping. Best of luck!!
Thank you for the video, Paul. It's nice to catch up with you, say hey to Ms. Olivia for me, she's a sweetie. You have a good evening and we will see you when we see you. 😎👊🏻🙏GOD BLESS
There are more scrappers for other reasons. Paul has 236,000 followers. Mike the Scavenger has a ton. The more people that view scrappers, the more that give it a go. I do very selective scrapping, just for fun. Only copper and brass. I am a fairly responsible recycler. I don’t do it for the money. I do it to keep things out of landfills. Just like Paul. Much respect. I also do virtual scrapping. I take pictures of scrap I would like to collect and send them to my wife, who would kill me if I brought it home. 😂
Paul, I like your idea of saving 1’s and 5’s … another good way of saving money that you really never miss, is to put one of those water bottles wherever you empty your pockets and throw all your change in it. You would be surprised how quick it adds up! Another one…put a coffee can in your truck and throw the change from your scrap proceeds in it and it will grow too! Blessings to you and God protect you from this heat wave!
When I need to unwind you're my go to. People are getting desperate with the prices . I know my groceries have increased by a lot even though I have cut back on a lot of stuff . I guess more people are out making some pocket money to help out. It's great for the environment but sad for you. Hopefully it will pick up. I really thought batteries brought in more . Michael is so nice . Thanks for the video Paul .Have a blessed week. Keep Safe ❤Keep Well❤
I enjoyed this video big fella! I really like this type of video as to see what you can get for the non ferrous metals. You're a good bloke for giving your family member the E-bike too. Keep up the good work and mostly the enthusiasm brother! 🙏🏴🇬🇧✌
I really like the video today. You always talk about doing this part of scrapping. Now I understand more about this side of what you do. Thank you so much for all the time you put in to your videos. I so look forward to Monday so I can watch the video. From a big fan from NY ❤
Paul Paul Paul !!! Thanks for taking us along! Even if it was all for not you still made a day of it by cleaning up the shop and the scrap shed ! Stay safe stay great and keep up the good work!!! I appreciate you!!!
Paul I saw a red wire hanging behind the tire that looked like it might be for the lift gate???? I wouldn’t want to see that getting ripped off and you loose the lift helper!!!!
Paul as always a pleasure to watch. Can I ask a huge favor, my wife Julie has just had her first chemotherapy session, which has resulted in her been hospitalized. If you could your prayers & healing thoughts her way. It would be most appreciated. Thanks brother
Can you go out earlier or at different times? Expand your territory? Also, pass out your business cards (leave on doors or car/truck windows). Let some of the business 'come to you'.😊
Paul, thanks for your programs. Condolences for your mom! This ole lady (me) loves them. What kind of camera do I need to get to picture up thinks like yours? Thanks for all your help! Love ya from Cincinnati
Paul another thought to the question u asked me will come to you in meditation, prayer, n conversation with JESUS. REMEMBER He has ur journey of life all planned out for you. You just need to follow the yellow brick road lol. Nothing is more important in life than spreading the WORD OF GOD n Paul u r doing that. Everyday is a struggle to get thru trying to keep the Devil's influence at bay. I will continue to pray for u n ur family that u find ur wholeness of ur heart ❤.
Paul, my son makes a living installing Boiler systems, Furnaces, Hot water Heaters, etc and is HVAC certified. So his copper pile grows real fast.... His last haul was close to, if not, $1000.00
Hey Paul, Great non-ferrous run! I do street scrapping in 3 different towns. all within 35 miles of each other. Maybe you should branch out and see what other towns have to offer. For me it prevents boredom....Love your stuff!😉 ✝ 🏴☠
I don’t understand the people that comment negatively about “riding” the lift gate up instead of climbing; if you have a lift gate why on earth wouldn’t you use it?? Even just to lift yourself into the back of the truck? That makes zero sense to me.
I saw this n wanted to share this with you...God is preparing a place for you...walk by faith n not by sight. It is good for all of us to reinforce our support to each other. Easily said than done. Your friend in Christ Paul. Love from LINY ❤
This video was a nice change up from the scrapping It was interesting that you have so many metals to tend with and you wanted to sit around today Now aren't you glad you talked yourself into getting up and going ? 💫 you might have to find a different neighborhood to scrap in if there's too many scrappers in your area If you were unable to scrap what would you want to try out as a profession? I think you'd have to be your own boss and it'd have to be something you can do on your own terms That's why I like being retired Everything is on my own terms😁 🇨🇦🦩
Yeah, there are a lot of scrappers out there. Me, myself, I just scrap different types of scrap metal, not only because I enjoy it as a hobby and it relaxes me, but so that I can have another, a second source of income/money coming into my pocket. Even though I don't make very much cash from the scrap metal, it's something. That's one of the reason why I got into the scrapping metal industry.
There is only and will only ever be ONE you! God loves you more than you can possibly fathom, so do yourself a favor and accept the grace He gives you and love yourself today! ♥ Thanks for the great content as always Paul!
If you would cut those longer copper tubes about 1/2" from the solder joint it would make it #1. You need to get your money's worth if you are going to work that hard to collect it. Also on the copper on the brass valves.
Hi Paul, i really like your videos and what your doing for earth. I have noticed you havent been posting as often. Are you ok? We have been concerned. Prayers to you bro
Amazing how now that the prices have dropped through the floor it seems more people scrapping. I don't get it. I pretty much stopped street scrapping, just not worth the wear and tare on me and the truck giving scrap a free ride to the yard😢 When i do go on rare occasions everything is picked up.
I don't have a pickup, and I only scrap the non-ferrous. I love seeing the prices for the different categories. I give the ferrous parts to another scrapper.
Watched the commercials for you since you couldnt get scrap-gotta support the good ones like you! Hope it gets better so we can go with you on your adventures. And Olivia is always a happy experience. 👍🙂
u dont need to keep wasting the plugs u can pull the nail or what not out if it starts leaking put it back tell u get the plug and stuff ready its better than throwing money down the drain and wasting plugs just a little tip u can do to save some money things r far from cheap these days and batterys on the ground like that will mess them up i know that cause someone layed my battery only cement and dropped the volts alot in only a few days but when it wasnt on the cement it was at 12 volts for over 7 months
Hey Paul, it's your sister in Jesus checking up on you. I am having problems with my veins in my legs and have to go see a Cardiologist. They say I have insufficiency in my veins in my legs and they swell up and hurt. Right now I am wearing compression hose. Say a prayer I won't need some kind of surgery on my legs. Great scrap video.🦵🏻🦵🏻🧓🏻🙏🏻💃🏻 wish I could dance again but then I can do other things.
Man where can I go wash dishes at that rate???😂😂😂 Maybe it'll get me outta this rut I'm in.... Not easy being a single mom. 😢 Used to get the PD 15/hr at my last job. After my daughter passed I lost it all, my job, my home, my car, and the cheating fiance. 😢 It'll be 16 years this 25th of August. I just wanna cut a brake
You've got to cut your #2 off your #1, and I know you know that, I do the same thing when I'm depressed! How's this, I'm finding a lot of high quality steel along the RR tracks in the form of old plates and spikes, and it adds up quickly, its trash to the RR and you have a ebike like me to get it with..............just between you and me though, Okay? .......plus it might make some good video footage!
Congrats on haul, sometimes it is better to hold for a bit and then go see what you get at a later date. Oh yes I am going back in time to watch your older videos. Stay safe
A while ago you were straightening your haul using a "new beta model" of the snap tool. Got me to thinking. I need to use the "snap tool" to clean my kitchen. So, working quickly I straightened up and cleaned off surfaces. Then when I looked at each area to see if they would pass the snap tool test I would see something that needed to be moved or removed to improve the look. Once I was satisfied that my "after" picture would look good, I was so happy. Lol.
Paul, that brass price surprised me ($29)...gotta see how much o' that I have around here. I'd say this was a great NON-ROUTE scrapping day...and gotta do that, once in a while, anyway...unless you're starting a storage warehouse (& you're NOT). ... and really good blessings on that near flat tire, you almost had...if that bolt/screw had been 1/8 inch longer (whew).... Always, all the best, brother.
