Copper Contraptions 1.1 Is now available to download on Modrinth! I had a ton of fun making this update! I am so excited to keep working on amazing datapacks like this! What is your favorite feature in the Chaotic Connectivity Update?
I absolutely adore the amount of love copper is getting as of recent... so many features... copper wiring... copper pipes... copper tools and armor... copper contraptions... copper whatever it was that could cut down trees or something unless I'm misremembering...
@aadenboy Yeah I have seen a lot of datapacks like that pop up as well and I am loving it! I bet people could make amazing factories with these packs! I mean with just a few it can start to feel like you are playing with a mod similar to create! I think we are just missing a few things like the special pistons and other things that move stuff around! Maybe someone should make a copper pistons datapack! Lol! Also Copper Contraptions has a tree chopper!
@ChocoMilccy I wouldn't even know where to begin with trying to make that work! Since this is a datapack I don't have as much control as mods do so if anything the team working on create would have to figure out how to add support for the pack and I know that is not happening!
@dripthanos5595 Thank you! Yeah there has been quite a few people that have thought that this is a mod and some people take a bit to realize it is a datapack. You hear a lot more about mods than datapacks so it makes sense that there is a bit of confusion especially when datapacks have been getting more powerful thanks to new features in minecraft!
@hamzamotara4304 Yeah, the stuff that works interdimentionally was a challenge, but with the amazing features datapack creators have gotten over the past year, things like that are a lot easier and a lot of things have become possible! With every update, datapack creators keep getting more tools to make even crazier things! The future looks bright for datapack development!
@@DumpstarFireDev yeah, other than the annoying changes like functions (and structures and all that) becoming function (and structure and all that). but for the most part, it’s good.
Amazing that you can do all this with a datapack! I was wondering if you can block swap waterlogged blocks into the nether with this, and yes it worked...
@TakeruDavis Yeah back when some of my friends could only play on bedrock and I only made datapacks for them, I always tried to avoid stuff that doesn't work for bedrock like block displays. I will see if I can find a way to make things better for bedrock players on GeyserMC servers! I know some particles should work and that I can make it where only specific players can see the particles so maybe I can do something with that!
@TakeruDavis If I feel like you machine idea or at least part of it fits into my vision of the pack then I may add something similar! There is no guarantee that your idea will make it but I will see what I can do! A lot of machine ideas have come from friends and many of the small datapack improvements have been wonderful feedback from the comments section of my videos so if you do comment ideas there is always a chance it could be added!
You should make it so you can make the contraptions backwards (Like be able to make the freezer by dropping an iron block on blue ice, you get the idea)
@ChocoMilccy for machines like the freezer that could work but for others like the energy observer it won't because it is based on the direction of the block. I am just going to keep it the way it is but it was a good thought!
@Михаил-б6ы9ц In creative mode you can middle click on the output of a crafter and it will give you the item! I just learned that when making this update! This game is filled with so many small features that it can be hard to keep track of all of them!
@gunnolf9604 I originally started working on this when the wild update came out for minecraft. It was just for my friends and it was very buggy but still kinda fun! I was also trying to learn about making video games and I was doing good but last school year was so stressful since it was senior year and I was doing a little too good in all of the clubs I was in but not good enough in some classes! I had to make a video game for one of the clubs and I was absolutely loosing my mind! I wasn't even at school during the last week of school because of club trips! Then over the summer I wanted to make a game and ended up stressing out again. Then one day when I was distracted from my game I was doom scrolling on RU-vid and saw a video and it was about copper wiring. I made a comment on the video saying about how I once made a datapack that also added uses for copper and asked if they wanted to check it out. Aura Acorn agreed and I got to show off my datapack and he was so kind and gave me some great ideas for polishing the pack up! He showed me some silly command stuff and I also got to show him a few other datapacks and we were just doing silly stuff in minecraft for a few hours! That day I zero progress done on my game but I felt happier than I had felt in a long time! I felt so inspired to work on my datapacks again and I did! Without Aura Acorn none of my datapacks would have been released or updated and perplexus wouldn't even exist! I wouldn't be as happy as I am not and honestly I can't imagine how terrible I would have felt about myself if Aura Acorn didn't give me the chance he gave me! We are amazing friends and we help each other out a lot on each other's projects! Copper Wiring may not have inspired the theme and mechanics of this datapack but it did inspire me to release my datapacks and be happy with what I can do instead of stressing about what I can't do!
