I bought rolls of 10/3, 12/2 and 14/2 copper wire (Romex) from a hardware chain going out of business many years ago. Next to my gold & silver holdings, probably one of the best assets I've purchased. Coppper wire is always in demand and will continue to increase in price.

Chris, I agree, I like stacking copper but I find it hard to find at a good price. I save all my clad coins, they have 75% copper. Thanks Chris.

I save all of my change. I put quarters and dimes in a jar, and when its full, I cash them in. Usually, it is around $250 every 2 to 3 years.

I have been saving copper pennies and nickels for a while now. I have a big pickle jar almost full of zinc pennies. Just weigh the 82 pennies. 2.5 grams zinc and 3.1 is copper.

Anything is on the table....especially after the US Debt clock past 35 Trillion last week and massive increase even since, Things are spiraling out of control and suspect the one holding the metals will have a seat at the table when things go up in smoke.

Copper will be good to have if it ever hits the fan I don't have any bars but I keep every pre September 82 penny I get in change I weigh every 82 penny and all 3.1 gram pennies I find I keep

You get recognizable, government issued nickels for under melt... You get bars for a 2000% premium... Is it really that hard to pick which one to stack?
