I think the one cop may have been slightly confused on the DUI laws but at least he was willing to err on the side of caution and not violate the rights of a citizen who he did not believe to be DUI. Aliyah, I would like to hear your thoughts on Trump saying that if he wins the election, police will have immunity from any prosecution. Have you looked into that?
Do you see your faults or just others? Do you not see that you & the majority (including all so-called Authorities) are letting & causing an unreasonable way of life & worse to continue, instead of ending this entire control & rule scheme/scam for an actual reasonable way of life that doesn't harm innocent & helpless children & actually makes life a little bit easier for pretty much everyone if not everyone?
@WeThePeopleUniversity Abiyah,I would like to hear your views about police having total immunity from prosecution should Trump win the election. Have you looked into that?
@@DonFahquidmi Immunity doctrine is entirely a fabrication of the courts. With the exception of the President there is no law anywhere that says anybody is immune from prosecution for anything. That's something that was entirely fabricated by judges simply dismissing cases and citing "immunity" as the basis of dismissal. And that whole doctrine was completely dismantled at one point about a hundred years ago by a combination of SCOTUS and congress, specifically to address the insane level of corruption in the courts. Because immunity doctrine was originally invented to protect corrupt judges that were doing insane things. But then at some point judges just started dismissing cases and citing immunity again, and it's been allowed to go unchecked.
This comment reminds me of a case: Cops got called to effectively a wellness check, parents called for their kid who was suicidal. Cop approaches the kids room - the kid is pointing a gun out the door towards the cop. Policy would say to shoot the kid, eliminate the risk - our cop didn't do that, seeing this as an attempt at 'suicide by cop' But a fellow officer comes in from behind the first officer, sees the gun, and shoots the kid dead. The first cop gets fired for endangering himself and his fellow officers. The kids gun was not loaded. Risking your life for someone in need, I'd call that a hero - but departments sees them as a hazard. I guess the same goes for officer's like those in this video, that would stand with the law, rather than with his fellow men.
I think if you re watch this, the sergeant clearly stated that they were not pursuing a DUI charge, but before he was released to drive, they wanted to make sure he could, legally.
Absolutely!! I can’t imagine anyone wanting to work beside a cop like that, a fully grown man, who can act like a toddler in a millisecond and storm off‼️ You’re a cop and you are THAT thin-skinned?? WTF? Little southern baby who wants to always get his way and likely ran home to mommy’s house to cry, crack a beer and sulk in her basement playing GTA where he can “really show them” what a cop can do to a citizen!! Unreal.
Are you people ok? The DUI cop does NOT have to witness his erratic driving. He can be called to the scene to do the tests based off of the other officer’s observations. The problem is this is hickville USA.
@@MacPeterson-qo4cd Did you not hear the officer say he didn’t see anything in order to do the test. He gave the kit to baby huey and he ran home to punch and scream at his pillow 😂
Then they wonder why police are quiting or why people arent wanting to be cops. Cause to be a cop you have to be crooked and have no respect for the law.
@@ironnads7975 There are absolutely multiple national (all states since you're slow) police unions in this country that were created to do exactly what he said they should do. You're wrong.
@@hershalerv I am not from your area , but I would suggest your local government representative and mayor office. The more local meetings , community meetings and reaching out to the former officer first to insure he wishes to continue serving the public . He will be rejected by other officers , so the people will need to support him all the way . Best of luck
Yes this is totally amazing we actually have a video of some police officer trying to uphold the Constitution and doing what is right by the citizens instead of making up stuff as they go but he gets fired incredible these are the police officers that should be promoted
The cop who made the traffic stop left the stop. Therefore the traffic stop is over at that point. That means no other cop who showed up to the scene had any authority to do anything. The dui cop correctly stated that it wasn’t his stop and it wasn’t his investigation, BUT he had a duty to protect the rights of the citizen since he was being dragged into it.
fired for honorably upholding the law and protecting citizens' rights. what a ****ing shameful display of the crooked policing that takes place everywhere.
Far too often, “good” cops face consequences for doing the right thing. Violating a citizen’s “constitutional rights” is inconsequential then it is for them to violate the “thin blue line” code. Their loyalty is mandatory to their fellow officers and not their oath.
@@christine_lovelace No, the heavy set guy was the Sargent. Black cop addressed him as Sargent Brown AND he introduced himself to the driver as "Officer".
Officer Cannon if you read this I just want you to know that you are an amazing officer and the type of officer we want policing our communities. You did everything right on this stop unlike the 1 asshole that left and the tyrant sergeant. Hold you head high and strong because We The People will always stand behind and support GREAT cops.😊
I wish there was a way we could express our support for him and allow him to be an example of what we look for in police. I'm not against the police I am against police misconduct.
I agree this officer did a good job trying to not stomp all over this guys rights. The officer that stormed off like a petulant child is exactly the kind of person that should not be in law enforcement. His actions speak volumes and need no further explanation. The one I’m guessing is the Sgt needs to be demoted at the least. He displayed no control over the situation or his officers he supervises. Then to chastise the officer doing things correctly and not the one behaving poorly & abandoning his fellow officers like that. Down right shameful and I hope the chief loses his job.
GREAT comment! Seriously I wish there was a way to find officer Cannons contact info or Facebook profile or something. I would love to tell him what a great example he sets as an officer and at least buy him lunch or even start a GoFundMe to help him out financially since he lost his job. If anyone could find how to contact him please let me know.
"Your body cams not on." Something I have NEVER heard one cop say to another. This poor kid was living in a completely different world than his co-workers.
Thank you for posting this and all of these videos you addressed. Takes a lot of courage to do this as an excellent law enforcement officer and I for one do appreciate it.
It's always been this way, always. We just now get to see the reality of America because of the mass proliferation of cameras and Internet technologies. What we are experiencing is the dissolution of propaganda.
I never knew unicorns were African-American. Wonders never cease! 😂😂 If departments really wanted to get rid of cop watchers, 1st amendment auditors, protesters, etc, they would fill their departments with men and women like him rather than fire them.
@@brookecameron9680InaPigsEar▪︎ In today's LEO culture, it's become an unofficial 'Standard' to accept the 1st-on-scene 'Cops' word _verbatim_ re Events / RAS. Backup Cops are expected to _Act_ on the First's word - period. So, in cases of questionable RAS / even _Force_ ...Backup Cops are meant to Comply, _NOT_ Intervene.
No, the BC was trying to stop the WC from violating the citizens' rights, but they were so adamant that they went over his head and still violated their rights. The other WC got mad and left after the BC had morals and didn't want to violate their rights.
My older bro got a dui last month. He accidentally hit a curb and popped his tires. Someone ironically called the police to help him as he was stranded. He had a couple drinks that night, but was not drinking and driving. He ended up in jail with a dui. People need to realize that once you get that on record, your whole life will be upside down for at least a while
@@StayBlessed47nah I was just saying that even in that case of having an accident, the cops will try to get the breath test. I’ll keep it real, idk if it was because of the drinks or not; truly I don’t. I was just saying that this seems almost protocol to assume it was the drink rather than a mishap
@@StayBlessed47that’s what I was thinking, but technically on scene, it’s really just the suspicion of drinking and driving that can allow for a breath test. This was in California. As far as if they smelled something or if he actually was impaired is now up to the court to decide. This is why I don’t get the hype around drinking _at all_
This is why we say " there are no good cops". That youngster has one of two options, do the right thing and be fired or worse, never having backup on calls. Or two, become a bad cop.
@@larrybrinley8222 it is relevant, Einstein. They likely didnt remember the names of the officers and used color as a descriptor. Get over yourself, racist
Can anyone name another profession where you do your job correctly and get fired? Well other than a politician I suppose. Sick of paying for lying, corrupt and hypocritical cowards.
Literally any job, really - when it comes to success often being socially accepted and charismatic matters way more than your actual competence. Sad reality, really - that how good you are at something often just doesn't matter.
Plenty have . my husband had to call the ethics board because he over exceeded expectations. We have 10 lines of business n he went to every training class about 3 months of training. He become a group of 10 supervisors out of 35. And maybe 2 managers out of 11 had also achieved this accomplishment. He introduced A.I. messaging systems n programs five months before the company did. and even made about 2 instructional about how to do job processes. He also assisted countless supervisors when our systems switched over. Ppl on his team had an amazing promotion rating n also commended him for how well he answer customer service request for supervisors and assistance in a timely manner. He had to make a goal plan for the job and he said his goal was to be a manager in the next 3 yrs. He been with the company 4. Became a supervisor in a year. Once his manager saw his drive she begin to micro manage him n target him. Lied about a termination being sent up and suggested he resigned so he can be rehired as an intimidation tactic. He didn’t and called ethics board and exposed no termination was on file. Made them switch his manager and she still targets him. So yes plenty of people get fired for being competition to his higher ups. Excellence shine light on inadequacies and higher management who are lack luster will always try to get them
Thank you Abiyah! I saw this when SOS aired this video and I knew this brother wasn't going to be there long. This wasn't the first time he went by the book. We can see that by the way the initial stopper left the scene. I now see this is being a blessing in disguise. Leaders no longer lead by example.
This is an excellent channel. This video is proof there are good/bad in every profession. Not all cops are immortal, indecent, and/or corrupt. Some people become cops because they actually want to protect the people they care about.
I bet money he will quit being a officer from this type of situation happening so often. They basically said f the law and you better get with the program "boy". Bullying the elderly, women and children for a living as a honest man never lasts too long as you know personally bro. They accept the bad behavior in departments while ostracizing the actual good cops that signed up for the right reasons. So ultimately good cops leave the force because no true man of integrity will stay on after too many of these type of situations.
"We look like complete idiots" BECAUASE YOU ARE, and when the most trained officer tried to teach you, you both threw a hissy fit and continued to do it your "good old boys" way.
The young officer is a run of the mill rule follower. He actually paid attention in training and wants to do the right thing. He is the kind of public servant we need.
Wow I can honestly say I've never seen an interaction like this between the cops on a stop. I'm so glad cops like the one concerned about the law are still out there. He understands the spirit and letter of law may not always be the same. There is a right and a wrong way to act, to treat people, and to enforce the law. Great to see a good man out here helping people not trying to exploit them and unfairly violate them in order to take their money or property
He needs to learn how to remain silent in the presence of the police. He incriminated himself when he said he had one beer. He thought saying it was just one would make a difference. Notice how every time he said it was one beer the cop responded with you were drinking...the "one" beer didn't mean anything.
@@nettakay2116 very true, but I’m sure he has been on the end a racist policeman’s baton in his life so he has been conditioned to obey to white police.
There was a chief in CA who was fired when he became a whistle blower and reported his men were bending their badges to commemorate how many citizens they had killed (murdered.) He filed a lawsuit for wrongful termination and won $1M
So the kind of cop citizens keep screaming we want. He gets fired for following the laws, doing the right thing, and not following the blue law gang Unbelievable!
A great cop who truly does the job of protect and serve and actually cares about the citizens gets fired..but the ones who are out for blood gets promoted
we must protect this man at all costs. We are literally witnessing a miracle. That is no police officer, that is an AMERICAN. A patriot defending the constitution. A free man defending his brothers. This man makes me want to be a cop.
That’s so unbelievably f-ed up…smh. This is the kinda sh!t that makes me wanna cry. Its never been more obvious to me that Law Enforcement is NOT the place for GOOD and HONEST people. I dont know how we’re supposed to fix this…
Good on that officer for respecting the rights of citizens. It can’t be easy for good officers to stand on principles when they get so much pushback from a system that doesn’t respect or appreciate officers with conviction.
Gingersnap threw a temper tantrum and clocked out because he didn't get his way, Sargeant Boomer doesn't like being questioned by subordinates, and the only man there who honored his oath is removed. Checks out.
