Cops ignored this wife’s pleas for help

An Iowa woman called the police a dozen times about her estranged husband violating a restraining order, but they didn’t do anything about it. Why? According to a lawsuit filed by her family, it’s because he provided cheap electrical work to some of the cops. The man eventually got arrested but was released the next day, and shortly after killed his estranged wife. #Iowa #police

There's a book called "Dial 911 And Die" about how the police are not obligated to help you in any way, nor are the 911 dispatchers. I would recommend reading the SCOTUS ruling on "Castle Rock v Gonzales" (2005), where they state that no state agent of any level of government, including police, have any special duty to protect anyone, even if they have a restraining order/writ of protection. Insult to injury, a Federal court ruled in "Lozito v New York City" (2013) that an officer can be right there, know you are being attacked, and they don't have to help you. The ruling referenced the "Castle Rock v Gonzales" case in the decision. Even after I explain these to people, they still don't get why I don't want to rely on police for protection for myself or my family.

I warned his commander that he was a problem and they were going to have issues with him in the future. Am I a psychic, no of course not, I just know people. He's now on unpaid leave for domestic violence against his wife. Imagine that a person a Pennsylvania state trooper who arrested people for domestic violence, arrested for domestic violence. Anyone who acts as an informant is pretty much immune to any interference from the police. I've seen this happpen many times, including a guy who attempted a home invasion on a neighbour of mine with a gang of armed thugs. Wholee thing was caught on CCTV, the police turned up, hung around for a few minutes, then got a phone call and all packed up and left, with the gang of thugs still hanging aroundf in the street with a few crates of beer.
