Today we are starting a new EU4 series whre I'll be trying to get certain achievements as fast as possible in-game and IRL time. First achievement I'll try is... 'A Blessed Nation' as Ethiopia.

I wonder what the lore of this run is like. The ruler of Ethiopia just woke up one day, flipped out, declared war on everyone, conquered them, released them, and then went on a rampage to get the Coptic holy cities in a few decades. The ruler of Ethiopia scared so many people, that even the Ottomans decided to help their rival in the region.

A poor harvest caused the need for raids and expansion. Victories in the early wars was perceived as evidence that it was the path god had chosen for the people of Ethiopia, creating a feedback loop that lead to ever more militarised and feverent society.

Tbf idk how can someone watch your videos and not subcribe. You are an entertaining RU-vidr, a good tutor, you know your game and don't cheat and are not cringe. Get you capital to Africa, buy maps, no CB and vassalize Somalia OPM, core near you vassal (one can do it as it same continent), build ships, explore India, conquer Maldives (subcontinent of Malaysia).

@@ZlewikkTV The shameful fact is that he has published a lot of videos since then. Maybe you could team up with others next time, this idea is too cool to let it drop! You could also try this idea if you think it's fitting: The two of you play mp, one in Europe, one in Asia/Africa/America, the session is 30 years long, then you switch countries and edit the videos. The European player plays a different continent, the non-European plays Europe

Hey Zlewikk, I did this achievement recently as well, but it took me around 200 years so I feel a little jalous :P Also, an achievement I'd recommend is the "African power" where you conquer all of Africa as Kongo. Good luck if you do

Looking through the achievements I don't have, maybe The Fezzan Corridors? I need to get better at building up my nation to do a Sunset Invasion, but I can't imagine a world where that can be done with any kind of speed, even with the animalist institution spawning technique

I'm doing pretty decently with my current Ethiopia run but I feel like I should be doing better with money; I've conquered the entire horn and snaked up to Alexandria (I have Cairo, but none of the Nile Delta provinces, Ottomans beat me to them), and I'm getting about 15 ducats from the two gold mines, but all up I'm only making about +10 profit a month. Current year is about 1510-1520 as I slowed down a lot to recover my economy after going about 20 loans deep in a bigger war with the Mamluks than I wanted to (they pulled ahead in military tech about halfway through the war I was otherwise winning).

Well, mutapa is also the best first goal in Ethiopia mp 😅. I have a quite intwresting Ethiopia mp run on the channel. You will see there well how I got it early, then nearly died and... I'll not tell any spoilers :v

@@ZlewikkTV I can't do it because he's playing Butua and we play semi-cooperatively, so he gets everything south of the Horn. Still pulling the same kinds of money numbers in this run, but I haven't got the horn yet so I have more room for making money. BTW, what's your opinion of the Cawa units? The fact they take so long to replenish has made it kinda hard for me to justify using them extensively, but I've got a supporting army of 10 units to mop up rebels or intercept smaller armies.

It's theoretically possible, but good luck getting a server setup good enough to do it.

Not possible, server limit is 256. Me and Habibi got 250+ people to play once, but max players we managed to start with was 212 because lobby was bugging. You can find it on mine and Habibi's channels :)

@@ZlewikkTV Let me try saying it a different way because you didn't seem to understand: with the technology we possess in creating and operating servers in general, it would be possible to send and receive enough data to have all ~600 people you'd need connected. Obviously the game can't currently handle that, but the human race's level of servet technology could if the necessary work was put in.

@@ZlewikkTV Oh, that's cool. I didn't know whether there was a more sophisticated calculation at play. Like you ran the numbers, and found that past a certain point, more morale left you too exposed to manpower drain against higher damage, or something.

Coptic is outdated religion in this game. Coptic bonuses are so weak. It really needs buff. If paradox add a new discipline modifier, It will add at least 5% disipline in every mechanic. Coptic bonuses should be multiply by 2 just like they did in Confucian
