Hi GEOFF from sunny Devon. ☀️Love this recipe.. I've made it a lot in the 80s... Nice to review it and see your take on it... I used to do it in a, pressure cooker back then... Long and slow is better though when you have time.. Your Niece is a lucky girl,,,with all the cooking you do for her,,,, I suppose it stops you eating too much... 😂hope you have a nice weekend 💕
Hi Henrietta. Lucky you, with some sun. Hopefully we will get some today as well. Yes this is a very nice recipe. My niece enjoyed this one particularly, That makes it worthwhile.
Hello there Geoff, it's lovely seeing you make, such a delicious 😋 dish. Thank you ❤I'd be adding a bit of green pepper x just because, I love the taste, have a lovely Bank Holiday, weekend. X
This sounds and looks delicious. Chicken thighs are my favourite part of the chicken. Will definitely have a go of this. Just need a bottle of red wine 🍷 Thanks Geoff. ❤ have a good bank holiday weekend.
Thank you Geoff; I am new to your channel but have viewed many of you videos. I commend you on your style of presentation; clearly spoken and the fact that you generally explain each stage, including the ingredients as you progress, including the reasons for what and why you are doing it. Many newbies to cooking, like me, will get as much from that as we do learning to complete the recipes. I am planning to buy an air fryer oven, probably a Hysapientia 24L, I already have a Ninja Dual air fryer and I may have seen such an oven in your kitchen? Air fryers are becoming very popular - may i suggest you do a few recipes for air fryers, if you are so equipped? Thanks.
Hi John. You are welcome. I am glad you are finding the videos useful. I do have an air fryer, but it is one of those with a basket that pulls out. What you may have seen is my Sage(Breville in USA( Smart Oven Pro toaster oven. That is an excellent little oven which I use every single day when cooking my dinner and for some of my baking. There is also an Air Fryer version of it, though it is larger and more expensive.
Looks absolutely lovely I'll be making that soon, just wondering though where did you purchase the pearl onions, as i can only see pickled ones when ive checked on-line!!!
Hi Coolerrkin. I bought the frozen pearl onions on Ocado, since I couldn't find them elsewhere. But I have since seen that Sainburys sell bags of Baby Onions, which are the same thing, except that they are fresh and you have to peel them.
Hi Geoff, do you chop the garlic or is it kept whole? I can't work this out. Thank you. We made your japanese chicken today and the children loved it :)
HI Isabella. I kept the garlic whole, but I crushed it a little so that it opened up. I used the flat blade of a knife to hit it, placing that on the garlic and hitting the flat blade with my fist.
