Couldn’t make at out to the west coast, but I’ve loved Jimmy’s music since the 70s. His music touched my soul so much that I moved to his old stompin’ grounds on the gulf coast just as soon as I was able to retire from all that “work” nonsense. Thank you from Orange Beach, AL for making me feel like I was there!😎🌴
Only one Jimmy Buffet in this planet….,He may not be with us anymore but he, his enthusiasm for life and his memories live on and always will. My grown grandchildren listen to his music!!
And of course that Scotish Lad (Mac) will keep sharing all the love of the music he and JB made over the four decades they were together! And yes here is Caroline Jones, that JB loved to back! So many others that were highlighted, so many others that sang, so many others that performed and payed the tribute to JB!
Awesome Caroline Jones came on to share her love for Jimmy! and all of us that have loved the Coral Reefer Band all these years, we are here with you all!
This was one of the coolest shows I have been to and I’ve been to thousands seeing most of these people live before. They were all heartfelt and amazing.
Ive never met a single person in my lifetime of 68 yrs that didnt love them some Jimmy Buffet...Had the pleasure of seeing his dance 3 times (Candlestick Park, Greek Theater, The Fillmore)....One of a kind and sorely missed....He was the wife's and I first date ....Great job folks, may the memories live on....
I've got more of his concerts under my belt than I can remember but the best JB moment was when he handed me a joint...lit....in the parking lot of Dirty Ernie's. The fans in South Florida know where I'm talking about.
I never knew until Jimmy passed that Sir Paul was so close to jimmy. That goes to show you what affect jimmy had on people. Jimmy was a staple in my household growing up in Fl. Jimmy you are missed and definitely loved. The party will definitely be going on. Bubbles up.
Jimmy Buffett, thank you for inspiring this wonderful, joyful, colorful, musical happy place for my sweetheart and me to enjoy our retirement years: Latitude Margaritaville Daytona Beach !
What an amazing show! So many people loved Jimmy and his music 🎶. The planet was a better place with him on it. I am SO hoping the team of McAnally and Utley produce a DVD of this wonderful tribute for the thousands of us that loved Jimmy but couldn't attend.
Mac, you are singing the soul of our Parrothead people at JB going to the other side! You and Eric and JB were the last to play and sing the love of life!
Always loved the steel pan/drums. Gave the real tropical sound and he's the best! Love all the CR band and Mac, you are just the best keeping the music going💖
If you've got Paul McCartney, Joe Walsh and Bon Jovi showing up at your tribute concert to honor you, I would consider that better than winning a "Grammy".
Wish Fingers could have green there, but it was a glorious show. My wife will tell you I cried many tines, while still loving it. Miss you Jimmy, wish you had many more years.
Sadly, Fingers Taylor has retired from playing due to neurological issues. He was an amazing player and I love the Buffett albums featuring him the best.
Since he lived near me in Fl and we shared same birthday, Xmas, he would always stop whatever he was doing to say seeing me made his day even better. So generous! RIP
I have been watching the whole show. I'm on the other coast in FL. bout 20 mins from PB Island. That was the greatest national anthem i have ever heard Jimmy not singing. Everyone from Pitbull to Jack Johnson to Paul McCartney....pure gold
Not gonna lie, this brought a tear to my aging eyes. My friends and I were Parrotheads when Jimmy was still chasing dreams down at the Chart Room. " But the Wino and I know the pain of back bustin' like a farmer knows the pain of his pickup truck rustin'. A strange situation, wild occupation, Living my life like a song ".
This concert really drives home just how loved and respected Bubba was in the musical community. An amazing collection of artists from a variety of genres honoring the musical life of the Mayor of Margaritaville.
Well JB as Bubba wants us to carry on! At 72 years old, I am taking my wife to Key West on Halloween 2024! And we will do the Duval Walk these days as if our JB was with us! See you all for breakwest at Blue Heaven and hear some Buffett!
You are right; alcoholism is not a joke. But drinking and having fun doesn’t make one an alcoholic. The song speaks to those of us who have had one too many and know of the pain that awaits us -something we often regret but live to tell about it. I haven’t had a drink in 40 years, but every time I hear this song I sing it with gusto and celebrate the joys I had in a past life. It wasn’t all bad and Jimmy embraced what was fun about those days.
I must say that I’m not a huge fan of Don Henley for many reasons, however Im happy the Eagles were there to help celebrate their friend Jimmy’s life and to help “Keep the Party Going” by being Sir Paul McCartney’s backup band while he performed a Beatles song.
