Coraline was a horror children's novel first, i saw the book in a store, also the portal is only visible to the children when the parents are not around.
Yea, I read the novel first in school (Bad thing to give 3rd graders) and I absolutely hated it, there are some scenes in it that in my opinion are worse than the movie. If I remember correctly there was one scene where the other father basically melted in a room under the floor I believe? I’m not sure
The book goes much more into her memories with her parents and showing how loving and caring they are to her most of the time. They are just going through a stressful situation in the movie, I.E her mother had a car accident, they are moving, their parents are on a deadline for a book assignment etc.
did you know that when wybie shook coralines hand the hand that wybie was using had mud on it so he helped coralines other hand from getting poisin oak :)
Fun fact: the cake spells welcome home. The reason the o in home had two loops is because when someone puts two loops in a cursive o it means the person is lying about something so the cake is saying she is welcome but she isn’t home
I remember when time and my sister were younger she was absolutely terrified of the other mother I was scared as well but I continued to watch the movie
Great reaction! I would really like to see your detailed reaction to the cult film Robocop 1987! Especially before the release of a new world game based on this film. Do you have any plans to make a reaction to this film?👍🤖
The interesting thing about the spink and forcible scene was what they told coraline not to do, she does anyways, in the scene where the mom took coraline clothe shopping, she’s wearing green next to the dressing room, and acquire a very tall step ladder is in reference to when coraline gets the key after her mom hid it, using a myriad of a chair and books to reach it instead of, acquiring a tall step ladder.
I hate that so many reactors think coraline's parents are the worst and think they just hate her for existing. I understand that coraline is the main protagonist so we're watching the story through her POV, but at least TRY to look at it through the parents' POV. They're dealing with a cross country move, they're working on a deadline, it's safe to say they have little to no money with the state of the house and furniture, and on top of ALL OF THAT, the mom just got in a car accident and is more than likely in constant chronic pain. I don't the parents being dead set on working and not entertaining coraline makes them the worst. And I think the thing that supports this idea is the fact that once they finished they're catalog, they're mood towards coraline instantly got better.
Yeah, that's what I though. When you're a kid, you don't see or understand these aspects of life as you rarely has to deal with it yourself, your parents are here to do it for you. But normally, when you grow up, you understand it. Plus, Coraline is requiring lot of attention, and she's pretty rude with the only person of her age just because he doesn't make her the center of attention.
I just think they should have sat down and explained things to her in a way she could understand, screaming at her and basically saying they can't give her attention without explained things in a way a child her age can properly understand better is simply not the best approach for a stressful situation as a parent (I'm not a parent but my mom agrees) This is also stressful for Coraline after all
Sorry im late to the party! I loved this reaction; this is my all time favorite movie! "Coraline" is excellent at hiding Evil in plain sight; right off the bat, the Other Mother deconstructs the doll not with sewing tools but with funerary embalming tools. Even though the "other" versions are seen eating food, Other Mother never eats, even during the dinner scenes her plate is always empty until the chocolate bugs (foreshadowing that shes a spider-thing). The dining room in the Other house has portraits of children, the missing kids, on the wall. Most of the window and wallpaper patterns in the house, even in Coraline's real house - are bug themed. The garden in the Other world looks like Coraline, but in the real world, the dead garden outside looks like The Other Mother. All of the Other plants in Other Mother's garden are either carnivorous, poisonous, or thematically associated with lies or pain. From the very first scene, the movie begins to lay a sinister foundation hidden in all the details.
Fun fact : did you know there was a double loop in the o and I means that the other mother is lying I was in the word home so it means that she is welcome but she isn’t in her real home
i connected with coraline throughout the entire film. it was my favorite movie as a child. i got none of the innuendos because i was a child..but, now an an adult i’ll be getting a tattoo of button eyes just to remind me that, things are as vivid as i’d see for them to be.
Fun fact: the mom’s sweater she is wearing the part around her neck isn’t a turtleneck. It’s a neck brace because in the beginning she mentions an “accident” that happened so I assume she got in a car accident or something and she had to wear a neck brace
I think it's mentioned in passing, but there was some sort of car accident. That's why the mom wears a neck brace, and why they had to move into a shared house across the country.
Guys why everyone reacts to Caroline I know is a very enjoyable movie but why are people not checking out other stop motion films like the House ,Kubo,Mary and max or mr fantastic fox etc common guys this is boring everyone doing same content lol and k can’t even do a movie request because everyone has this pole system anyway didn’t watched it sorry watched it too many times other RU-vidrs reacted to it 100 times also corpse bride too many reactions all reaction channels reacting to same movies guys instead Check out other stop motion films like the house ,Kubo,mr fantastic fox or Mary and max I don’t know it’s your channel you guys know what your doing but it’s boring because everyone has reacted to it watching it over and over again
Dude, if you think it's so "boring", why watch it in the first place? you can easily just type in the videos you're looking for. Who knows, maybe some ppl may not know what those movies are. Maybe instead of commenting on this, don't say anything :) 👍 and ppl are watching it because they haven't seen it before or not in a while.
@@iLoveAllah-forever Um. If you think Coraline is “boring” watch something else. You have full control to choose what you want to watch on RU-vid. Yet you chose to take time to type this in, find a video, and type an unnecessary, unwanted comment.
