Rob shows us how easy it is to get a set of Trailcat Reclining Seats installed in this 1997 Jeep Wrangler TJ using a set of Corbeau bolt in seat mounts. The included wiring harness for the seat heaters makes it easy to get everything wired up so you can start enjoying your new seats.

As I was installing these in my 99' Tj I found that the previous owner had removed the seats to paint and left out a couple of bolts. This however did make the removal of the front seats quicker, now I just have to find new hardware.

It appears the electrical connectors are not sealed. Please let me know if I am wrong. If I am correct, this needs to be upgraded to sealed connectors.

did you connect both seats to a single fuse connector at the fuse panel? Is there a minimum fuse size?

What about the roll bar? Does that prevent the recline? HOW COULD NOT NOT DISCUSS THAT? My guess is the recline function won't work.

Will the heat harness be compatible with the existing JK switch? (Though I imagine the Corbeau one is High/Low temp vs the stock High/Low heating position)

I don’t see why not, you would just need to do some creative wiring yourself with a multimeter and a connection tester to make sure everything checks out.

Does it sit lower than the original seat?? Wondering if it would be position lower, that would help with my head clearance since I'm 6'6

Are drivers' seats made by Corbeau enabled to be raised or lowered like OEM seats? I'm 5' 6" and like to sit high when offroading

When I was shorter in HS I ran a set of billet stainless seat riser blocks. Super sturdy and raised my seat so I could sit high. They’re offered from 1”-4” risers

Anybody have any thoughts on the safety of Corbeau seats? I can't find any dirt on them but wanted to get peoples opinion on whether or not aftermarket seats provide adequate safety mechanisms to OEM

The brakets look lame. Plus you need a universal to install them. Not a good design, IMO>.

From the Corbeau Website. "With this bracket you will lose the tumble forward feature that the stock seats and brackets had." There is another way though. Corbeau offers an adapter plate that requires you to use the slider/tumble mechanism from your OEM Seats.. The trade off is they sit about an inch higher. (This applies to the TJ, I'm not sure about other models)
