Every verse hit🔥🔥🔥Was so happy to see this in my RU-vid feed after I got home today. Life's been tough lately, and this music is therapy to me. Thank you Cordae
@@Nocaption666 Ancient civilization big facts it's great to see a Rapper care about his lyrics Heavy D produced it so it would definitely have some kind of soul to it
Shout out to Cordae, man fr. It’s so funny to me, years ago when Cordae first hit the scene I was doing my thing too and I thought he was cool but never really paid too much attention. Turn around years later and he’s one of the only genuine niggas. One of the only rappers I can really relate to. Good music is powerful, it never goes out of style. As long as the music is you, the right people will always gravitate to you, even if it takes some time for them to realize what they’re missing. I hope you get all that shit figured out bro 🙌🏿 more power 2 you.
@@michaelsaylor4903 @Michael Saylor "friends turn to enemies" this is the usual direction of the hood as well as the relations of those people that reside in turmoil, itd always been like this. not all bars have to be heavy in entendres and references. although if u wanna get deep with it, "become distant memories" not only means how drastic the change of the relationship is, but when this happens we all know what goes on, people start beefing and then they resort to extreme violence, and then killings. what started off as "friendships" quite literally become caskets and "distant memories" to their loved ones. maybe its a reach but intentional or not, the artistic nature of this line alone holds depth and that was the point i was making. all love tho man lets keep it real💯🖤
Bro ended with eat a dick come on man how is this maturing? Tupac, Biggie, JZ, Naz, DMX that rap genius even some of the new blood rapping three amigos come on man. Cordae is good and just ok. He rapping like he got it all not hungry to get it all.
I’ve been rocking with Cordae since he dropped the “My Name Is Remix”, “Old Niggas” & “Kung Fu” and he’s never disappointed. From A Bird’s Eye View was highly slept on.
Crazy how this song don't get recognition like the rest of his music. This goes to show he was speaking facts about the music industry. I've gained hella respect for this man.
He didn't even expose anything, he already got clowned for low sells, he don't spend money on jewelry, he puts it on the music, but he doesn't have a cult following, 1985 remix struck a cord but didn't deliver, it's like Jay z vs auto tune, no one remembers that ever happened, unlike eather, naz vs jay, nas delivered and we still bump that shit
I think we all know why Cordae isn’t talked about more in the rap game, but YB and 21 savage are… it’s part of the plot. When you speak consciously with your rap and have something to say to the youth the industry will always block your shine. We gotta support real talent and stop listening to the garbage the industry giants promote to the front even though they have nothing positive or substantial to say 💯💯💯
@@antsteele871 you’d be surprised. Our culture in disarray atm 😂😵💫🤦🏾♂️. Like Lupe said “Look at what we say to get rich. “Shoot a n***a right in the head don’t even flinch””
@@antsteele871 no one’s saying YB is better than Cordae, but the views on YB and 21 songs go crazy when they’re talking about negativity. When people like Cordae have a positive message to say, all of a sudden the algorithm isn’t pushing the song around. Those popular songs about killing, alcohol and drugs keep the black community exactly where the people in power want them. That’s what this guys comment was trying to say
Can’t imagine how much it cost to even clear that sample. I appreciate when an artist also appreciates the culture and is still able to keep hip hop alive and interesting. Cordae is a breath of fresh air. Did the song justice. Keep being great. “Find some cool shit to say”
Why would they need to clear the sample? This is the same as the Beanie beat. Just a freestyle like on old mixtapes where they don’t need to clear anything
Of all the times I've been through Iverson Mall and Forman Mills, it's easy to appreciate this video. Keep holding it down, Cordae. Much respect to you
The fact that this song is 5:00 minutes long and still fire all the way through just makes my appreciation for cordae levels higher. Tbh he was already my favorite artist but this just hits different.
"Glad I got to meet Kobie, we had a dope convo and I ain't disclosing it.. there's certain things that when I die I'm goin wit" cordae straight inspiration
Damn these words r like my journal got read. Transparency. My #1 most important quality i yearn to find.. but so much fake shit. So disappointing. N yes I just wanna leave this world. But I can't. I got responsibilities. N I won't be the one to let somebody else fall or be let down. I'ma be alone. N it's okay. It's gotta be. I just gotta keep being me and loving me. Hold on. Keep pushing on. If u feel this way... Get thru one more day. It gets better sometimes. Those times r the ones worth waiting on. Peace n love.
after fully listening to this Gem, there is so many BARS in this, you sir really are the next gen of real rap coming up. please keep this energy and style, and never change, it really does show you sound like a young nas coming up. just amazed how many real verses spoke to me, used in this that i hella felt the same on, its a true work of art how you word play, but say some true feelings in there.
This song a classic in my books. It may take people a few years to realize. This young man will reach J Cole, Kendrick and drake’s status in the game one day🤞🏼😎😎🔥 Y’all Mark my words
He's not commercial like he admitted. His promotion is independent. If big names don't mention you it doesn't matter. He went on tour with Eminem got overshadowed. He was with Kanye when he was on tour for the life of Pablo and obviously don't nobody remember that. His truth isn't appreciated and he picks the worse instrumentals to kill.
Drake doesn't belong in the conversation of Kendrick and Cole. These brothers are lyricist not to be confused with the Drake and whatever he does. Cordae is definitely in the conversation tho
This track crazy! Cordae always delivers... "always showed love that was never reciprocated" #bars #tuff This real life rap can't do nothing but respect it🙏🏽
This is like a breath of fresh air, one of the best tracks I’ve heard in a while, 3 verses too let’s go. Definitely did this classic justice. I’m sure Beans is proud of this. Hopefully he hop on a remix.
Damn cordae bro my heat is off and i've been freezing all month, i caught hypothermia and my wife and kids are on their last leg finger tips turning purple. I played this song and my house thawed out but eventually burned down by the second verse. Gotta call the insurance company now. Thanks for the release BRB.
@@Trapi77-z9b that's not what I mean, I mean real rap isn't in demand, on the radio, chart topping etc.... It really sucks for independent artist, because in some cases they lose money if they try and put out quality music instead of trash
You hear what he said he trying to get out his production deal he didn't sell his soul that's one reason he ain't on "top", but his music speaks for itself people hate on him for some reason I ain't figured it out yet lol shit crazy.
This young man is so talented. The shame that these companies do to these artists. I just hope he gets a situation worked out three can have peace of mind and continued blessing us with his music. Pay attention everybody swear they a "real one" but this young man is as real as it gets! #HL
“I'm tryna find my way out this production deal Stupid me, young and dumb, I thought the love was real” I feel his pain, a lot of young talented people got catch up in those pain deals. This is an extremely dope freestyle, been on repeat with it🔥🔥
@@AtlMarcus I wasn’t saying it was his lol I just think about lil snupe everytime I hear that sample 🔥 beans did his thing on it fosure tho, one of the best samples out there I wish more rappers got on it
