you can really see the impact in the way that cordano brought his little bro to every single sesh in the video and probably every other sesh outside of it. this dad is a hero.
saw lil louie lopez kickflip the stage at santa monica high when i was randomly there with my friends his dad was filming and hyping him up that was like in 2007
I didn’t have my father growing up. He left my mother with 4 kids. I am the youngest of 4. I needed a father figure my whole life. I had so many questions about life growing up. Zero guidance from a father. I’m currently 30, and have a little 3 year old girl. I don’t understand how my father left us. I can’t even leave my daughter 2 minutes alone without missing her. She’s seriously the most beautiful thing my eyes have ever seen. And all I ever want is just to be there for her and remind her to follow her dreams and that she will never be alone. She will never have to worry about anything. MR. Russel. Thank you sir, for raising such a fine respectful man. Proud of you sir. This video made me tear 😢up in the best way. I love being a dad. Hardest/best responsibility ever! Let’s go DADS!
Man you hit it spot on with this my dad left when I was 5 and feel literally the same way you feel. I'm 29 with a 4 year old daughter and like you said I couldn't imagine not being in her life she is my angel she is my life. Thank you for sharing this it really makes me feel motivated and stronger and God is good my brother our Father in heaven has always been there and will always be here to guide us and teach us to be Fathers to our daughters. May the Grace and Peace of our Lord and Savior Christ Jesus which surpasses all understanding be with you and your family. I love you God bless you.
just listen to Vince Staples first full length talk about his dad being there, but not at the the same time. most dads who walk out, know full well they arent capable of doing the job and leave before they can make things worse, youre not here on accident, your life is a gift
It’s truly an honor and blessing to be related to these two amazing people. My big brother Cortez has ALWAYS been a family man and such a positive influence in my life and everyone around him, so for him to create a champion like Cordano is nothing but the work of God. I love them beyond words!!
This makes me miss my dad. He passed away last year after a stroke. He would drive me to the local park everyday as a teen, to demos at the bigger park a few towns away, and bought me boards to keep me going through it all. I love you and I miss you dad. Cherish your family.
This what the world desperate need today DADS that can raise a kid like that , no cussing , no drugs , just a healthy family that support each other .. success with that recipe is guaranteed ! DADS raise your kids like that kudos for this kid I am cheering for you !! ❤
@@calstonjewthe sun can subvert anything and become present in your life via your spine and local reality, appropriately shining and providing Inter dimensional support and Light alignment through the one rhythm of life, you just need to ask it 😊❤ I should be doing talks worldwide with your favorite Feminist leader E.W. soon, which will have all many of how this mechanism should begin working, don’t give up your advocation, Love needs to work this way, it can, and it wants to, it is designed to work like that. Ask the Sun🌞, we have been perfecting a method. 🌎
the first clip made me realize how much i take my father for granted. he has stage one cancer and always loved to watch me skate but i just wanted to go with my homies. ik im just rambling but i really appreciate my father.
Lost my dad to cancer last year, still miss him everyday. He also loved to watch me skate. I spent alot time with him those last years, talked about everything. He taught me so much. Im forever grateful I was able to be with him till the end
I am a 6’1 200 pound ex football / baseball player turned skater at 15 my body was more used to sports than skateboarding , glad there’s people like Cordano that push the limit from a big bodied muscle guy that can inspo others
Same everything here, but went back to the sports at 30. It’s nice playing on a team instead of convincing myself to jump down a set of stairs on a piece of wood.
I first met him at a TWS contest in 2018 I believe at the SD training facility skatepark and he ended up taking 1st place while I got 3rd. Super humble kid just ripping all day. I knew he was going to be the future.
I'm not sure if there is a better, more timely, good-for-all-viewers video out there today. Bravo to Thrasher for genuinely choosing to bravely offer-up this ground-breaking piece on a ground-breaking family.
more than a great skater , hes a great human ... period ... the clips showing how supportive his dad is brought a tear to my eye ... his dad was doing it in the old footage when he was a pup , when he never thought anyone would see it today ... that shit is real and its beautiful ❤🤘
Man this is amazing. Bro you have the best dad! Dad you’re doing such an amazing job. I wish I had this kind of support when I was skating …Cordano, keep going bro you’re gonna have a MASSIVE impact!
RESPECT, Cordano is the real deal. Much respect to his hype man Dad and his family. Sinclair, Toy machine family, the professor Paul Schmitt. Crazy to see such a big dude killing it. His attitude, mind set and good energy flows through him. What a great father figure. Just amazing!!🤯🤯🤯
he seems like a genuinely good dude. it's so refreshing to see such a happy, healthy family - i got into skateboarding to escape an abusive one. it's also crazy to see someone with such a different build than is normal in skateboarding and how that translates into his skating.
Almost shed a tear remembering my relationship with my father. It’s a beautiful thing to see their special bond! Much love to the whole family. Wish the best for Cordano in his future! 🙏🏼😇
Theres hundreds of millions of supportive parents, but theres very few parents that will move their entire family across country to support their kids dreams. He is a legit legend in the making. His skating reminds me of Arto and Rowley just going for gnarly and locking in on monster rails. The fact hes 6'4" is another level of insanity, then add in hes only 19 and my brain cant comprehend it.
I like his style of skating and also his biggest mentor is his dad keeps pushing him when he’s down tells him to get back up and keep pushing. This guy should be pro in no time. Thank you Thrasher!!
As a new dad, this video has to be the best skateboarding video I’ve ever seen the past 20 years I’ve been following skating. Everything about this was amazing.
This made me miss my dad. Thank you so much for sharing Cordano's story. Whether skating works out for him as a career or not, he's already won. Educated, grounded, surrounded by love... that's the real w. Keep crushing it, big boy.
Started following him a few weeks ago just bc I came across his IG then randomly saw him in the toy machine video and now this. Kid has amazing style and is so damn gnarly
This whole vibe is what’s up! Much rather see all the love in skateboarding and family than whatever bs is glamorized in the industry. Let’s normalize being good people because skateboarding is a blessing
I think everyone that just watched this is excited to see where the future takes this guy. I’ve seen him in an SLS contest and he was the only person I didn’t know in the mix, certainly know who he is now. I think it’s safe to say that the whole skate community will be in your corner for the rest of your career. 🙌
Seen Cordano as a newcomer in SLS and homie became an instant favorite. Happy to see such an extensive piece on him like this! Put his talents into perspective
It was tough growing up in the early 2000s being caught between traditional sports and skating. Especially not looking like a traditional skater back then. It’s great to see that it’s embraced moreso now. What a great video. Props to him & his family for supporting him.
The bond between Cordano and his parents is so awesome, wish my folks liked skating at least half as much hehe. Awesome skater, looking forward to great footage in the future!
I wish my dad was like that when I grew up skating. This is such an inspiration. I can't even count his nbd's. That kid is gonna be awesome to watch go pro. He's a breath of fresh air. Also, he's family friendly with the no cursing
