Hi Karen, WOW, your jacket is fabulous. Congratulations as that was quite an intricate sew. I wasn’t a big fan of the fabric when you unwrapped it - however you definitely picked the right project - and this should be a useful addition to your wardrobe. The jacket length is just perfect on you and this is a pattern well worth sewing up again next winter. 🌸
Thank you Julie😊. This wasn’t a fabric hit for me, but I am happy that I made something that I will wear. All I know is that I am not crazy about corduroy. It sheds like crazy! 🤪 I really like the pattern, it was a great fit, and with no muslin done👍👍. I will have to make another Atenas Jacket for sure 🙌🏼🙌🏼. Thank you for watching and I will see you tomorrow morning/night 🥰🥰💕💕
That jacket is just incredible, you did an amazing job with a very different type of fabric. I love how you take your time and make perfect garments. Good luck making trousers, can't wait to see those so do those first 😂. Thanks for sharing and such a good pattern review xx
Thank you so much Carole😊, you are too kind. I did take my time with the jacket and I am so happy that it turned out great 👍. The Atenas Jacket is a great pattern🙌🏻🙌🏻, and I will definitely make it again (when the weather gets cooler). Have a great rest of the week and happy sewing 🧵 🪡🥰🥰💞💞
Thank you so much Kennethia😊. It does take some time to cut all of the pieces, and need to make sure not to lose the small pieces 🤣🤣. Happy sewing 🧵🪡🥰🥰💕💕
Your jacket looks so nice as do all your makes! I don't know if you will need this or not but I just watched Janine Sews vlog today. She attended a 3 day sewing class taught by the amazing Ron Collins and she has graciously shared some great sewing tips for jeans that he taught her. I just thought you may want to check them out as you make your jeans.
Thank you so much Connie😊. A friend from our Saturday sewing zoom chat told me about Janine’s video and I watched it already. So many great tips on sewing jeans, it’s just what I needed. Thank you for sharing it too 👍👍. I will save her video so I can watch it again and again 🙌🏼🙌🏼. Have a great weekend 🥰🥰💞💞
You did a fantastic job on the jacket. Good luck on the pants. Speaking of interfacing & pants. I worked today on block fusing interfacing to 2.5 yards of canvas fabric. I’m getting ready to make the bootstrap pants form. I practiced a muslin version when I was down in Florida this past March. I’ve been solo fitting my pants and it’s just so hard to do & get right so I’m hoping this pants form will get me in real close range to my figure.
Thank you so much Victoria 😊. OMG, interfacing 2.5y of fabric, that is such a commitment and too much ironing, wow. You will be sewing great fitted pants in no time👏👏. Right now I am looking through my patterns, as I need to choose one to start my pants making journey 😬😬. Have a great weekend 🥰🥰💕💕
Bravo 👏 and the the jacket turned out amazing 🤩 I love Itch to Stitch I’ve made several of her patterns right now I’m finishing up the Marjorelle? I may have misspelled it.
Thank you Stephanie😊. So far so good with Itch to Stitch 🙌🏼🙌🏼. I also have some of her Jacket patterns, by the end of the year I’ll get to them 👍. Have a great weekend 🥰🥰💕💕
