Core decompression (Hip Avascular necrosis) 

Core decompression is a surgical intervention aimed at treating avascular necrosis, a condition in which bone tissue dies due to insufficient blood supply. The procedure involves drilling into the affected bone to relieve pressure, reduce pain, and stimulate blood flow, thereby promoting natural healing. Following core decompression, patients typically undergo a period of rehabilitation, including physical therapy, to restore strength and mobility. Initially, weight-bearing on the affected leg may be limited to allow proper healing. Gradually, as the bone heals and strength is regained, patients can resume normal walking. The success of the procedure often depends on the extent of bone damage and adherence to post-operative care.
