that was incredibly close. i also like how the missiles turned out to be incredibly terrifying and powerful because of their accuracy and ability to be used for drilling equipment, but they just couldn't be used right at the start of the game without the ammo mixer cannon or any significant areas of weakness in the enemy's defenses.
Yeah! At first they bounce off a few times then fizzled out, later, they were surgically drilling down the barrier, even when the core is facing away from the canons
@@yensteel yeah the ammo mixer helped a lot with that, the double-missles were a lot scarier than the single-missles, and even more so if you added a shotgun or a gatling into the mix.
Agree. At first, the missiles look pretty weak, but after the upgrade from the mixer, they are like INSANELY powerful and annoying. They just crazily drill into the core, and like nothing can stop them. By the way, all of the core destructions are from missiles, they even make the repair button a joke.
Merging those ammo to make an even better ammo is really satisfying, especially when each ammo combination gives different ammo effects. And yes, your video, MIKAN, had made my day. Keep it up with your amazing content!
I remember an old videpgame that let you merge weapons. If you merged the fire and water sword, you got a black "poison sword" that trapped enemies in a damaging forcefield. Shame I can't remember what the game was now.
I gotta say, as a programmer, I really admire the amount of scripting that goes into every single one of these videos. The unseen side of marble races is programming in all the different ammo types and merging and things like that. Mad respect Orange Person!
Suggestion: You could create a second channel with extra versions of the races for people who really like one concept. It would be the exact same as the regular video, just a different run through of the simulation and maybe different colors so that different things would happen. It probably wouldn't be too hard to do since you wouldn't need to come up with or create a new concept for it. From looking at the comments on this video there are a decent number of people who would watch the videos and appreciate something like this as well.
Yeah, that combo is probably the most powerful of them all! One of each, where the projectiles bounce like missiles, explode like bombs, come out five at a time like shotguns, and fire five times in total like gatling guns. That means 25 bouncing bombs all smacking Blue’s shield simultaneously!
My opinions: More than one missile is synergistic. More than one shotgun is bad, unless there's also a missile. More than one gatling has diminishing returns, but still pretty good. More than one bomb is amazing. *Shotgun + Gatling = the golden combination.* Shotgun + Gatling + Bomb = time for you to find a new core. Shotgun + Gatling + Missile = do you feel lucky, punk? Missile requires timing, no matter what else is combined with it. Against a fresh core, the shot becomes pretty close to worthless. The best combination against a fresh core, if it had happened, probably would have been Gatling + (3xBomb). The drilling power would be crazy. I wish we could have seen the blast radius for 3xBomb and 4xBomb.
Personally thinking: Shotgun + Gatling shoots the most bullets in a somewhat arranged way. Mixing it with a double bomb can easily destroy a fresh core, and mixing it with a double missile can be annoying as you will have to take on 25 bug missiles that can literally drill through layers If there is a normal bomb with 2 gatlings and a shotgun, that can be a drill used against a damaged core but not a normal one. All 4 missiles, if we ever get to see it, would probably be absolutely terrifying (my guess, this didn't appear). Too bad
@@huykhanhnguyentrong3289 i stand by my opinion on that. Checking your specific example, the attack was MSGB, and only broke through half of the shell, requiring help from the other three bullet types to do so. I feel that literally any other bullet type replacing the M component (eg. SSGB, SGGB, SGBB) all would have done better.
The X2 combos of each gun Missile + Missile: Big missile comes and destroys the place. Missile + Shotgun: Missiles burst out in a shotgun form. Missile + Gatling: A barrage of Missiles shoot out. Missiles + Bomb: Homing bombs blow up when in contact, similar to missile. Shotgun + Shotgun: A big spray of bullets FLY out, with more range. Shotgun + Gatling: A repeated burst of bullets are shot, in a shotgun form. Shotgun + Bomb: More bombs are shot out. Gatling + Gatling: Many bullets are shot out faster. Gatling + Bomb: A bunch of bombs are flying through everywhere Bomb + Bomb: A big bomb, similar to dynamite, explodes on contact. That was the 2 combo, but what about the 3? Missile x3: A bigger missile gets shot out. Missile X2 + Shotgun: Big Missiles are spread shot. Missile X2 + Gatling: Large Missiles are still shot in a more centered way. Missile X2 + Bomb: Bombs have more durability. I can’t continue, this will take forever…. However… THE X4 COMBO RESULTING IN ALL 4 WILL RESULT IN: Flying Homing Bombs repeatedly spread out. Please like??
Ammo effects in the mixer, in order of unlock : Missile : A single marble gives the final result the Missile effect, giving it homing and allowing it to hit multiple times over a period of time. Extra Missile marbles make the final result bigger and have a longer lifespan. Shotgun : A single marble gives the final result the Shotgun effect, launching extra bullets in a single shot. Extra Shotgun marbles launch even more extra bullets in a single shot. Gatling : A single marble gives the final result the Gatling effect, launching extra bullets over a period of time. Extra Gatling marbles launch even more extra bullets over a longer period of time. Bomb : A single marble gives the final result the Bomb effect, making the bullets explosive. Extra Bomb marbles make the explosion stronger.
man I love these videos, they're so creative and fun to watch, and I really appreciate how MIKAN takes the time to find the right replay to upload. not to mention the time it must take to set these up. They just get better and better!

I for some reason watch a whole lot of these marble races/core destruction etc videos. they are kind of my brainless guilty pleasure. And i have to tell you that you far and away do them the best. Your videos always are so beautiful and SO creative! Whenever i see that orange slice i know it is going to be beautifully constructed and a pleasure to watch. So in my opinion.. And keep in mind that this is really coming from a total random viewer but you are the one that has set the bar for this genre. If you worked in web design or video game development or engineering i have a feeling that you are highly sought after. Your future is bright if these Algodoo videos are any indication! Thank you for your beautiful and such fun and creative expressions. I thoroughly enjoy every single one of them!
I've been inge watching these pretty much all month now, so glad I found this channel XD IMO The repair was kind of not worth it for how difficult it seemed to be to get it. Fun and great concept, want to see the ammo mixer come back for sure, but maybe have this battle concept redone with a one branched repair that circles counter to the shield rotation and maybe repairs quicker.
New weapons to Fuse: Drill: Pierces an entire HP block before being destroyed Fragment,: Smaller bomb that fragments into 4 bombs with 25% of its damage Saw: When it collides with any block, it stays in position rotating for a few seconds, destroying other blocks in the process.
It looks like duplicates of an ammo type are additive, while different types are multiplicative. Each missile linearly increases thrust. The first shotgun/gatling multiplies the width/length of projectile count by 5, then adds 5 more to that side for each duplicate. Each bomb linearly increases explosion radius. But for the different types, shotgun and gatling multiply each other, missiles cause a projectile to hit repeatedly, and bombs make each hit more destructive. By this logic, the strongest possible attack should be 1 of all 4 different types, each of them contributing multiplicatively. And for bonus trivia, the max number of projectiles in a barrage is with 2 shotgun and 2 gatling, totalling 100 shots.
Yeah, but the different ammo complement each other too. Shotgun is USELESS without missile as it misses a lot, and missile-missile does more damage and lasts longer than singular missile. So the best is arguably missile-missile-gatling-shotgun, which makes a large amount of double missiles and thus has extraordianary drilling power. (11:02.)
I only disagree with you on the idea that the strongest attack is one of each (MSGB). The numbers you have are good, but you neglect some other critical variables of the battlefield, which allow both missile and bomb to actually have compounding improvement when they're x2 or more, despite having linear increase in thrust/blast radius. - For 2*missiles, the bullet doesn't bounce off the core as far, which allows it to return and hit exponentially more often. (Reference 6:14, perfect example. Red and blue are both firing Missiles, but it's clear whose is more effective. Then at 7:24 Red returns with a 3*Missile, which doesn't even hardly bounce, and almost cracks through the inner half of blue's core all by itself.) - For 2*bombs, a linearly-increasing blast radius still damages an exponentially greater number of enemy bricks because the core becomes more dense as you get closer to the center. There's no question that gatling and shotgun are an incredible combination, turning one bullet into 25 ; I'd just say that 25 double-sized bombs is better than 25 bombs that bounce once. I personally think the strongest is SGBB (11:27), followed by MMMB or MMMG (neither happened, just hypothetical), because they might be able to reach the core even when it's brand new. MSGB (11:45) simply has far too much bounce to be the best, in my opinion.
@@dinojack5567 Your example of MMGS is a solid contender, too. Looking back, it was the kill-shot for two cores in this video, although both times it struck a previously-drilled-out area. I figure if the core were fully repaired, those shots wouldn't have been so powerful, but lets face it, the odds of the core being fully intact when your shot is made are small, so your choice is still quite good. Perhaps what I can say is this: if I were allowed to choose one bullet combination and only use that one for the entire game, based on what I've seen in the video, I'd easily select SGBB. I might change my mind after seeing what a MMMB or MMMG can do without having to hypothesize.
@@Bulldogg6404 MMMB might be on the same rank as MMGS. A huge missile won't do that much if there's only one, but it will SEVERELY weaken the core. MMMG and MMMS are basically the same as missile has homing. I think I agree with you on SGBB though, it's basically a game ender if you aim it right. Another surprising thing is that four-of-a-kind shots aren't great. SSSS and GGGG are bad, and so are MMMM and BBBB. BBBB might be the better of the 4. Soooo: S tier (game enders): SGBB A tier (very good, weakens core severely): MMMB, MMGS, possible MMBB or MMBG/MMBS B tier (still very good): MMMG, MMMS C tier (ok): BBBB, GGGG, powerful 3-combos D tier (not great): MMMM, SSSS, weaker 3-combos F tier (bad): 2-combos F- tier (NO): Single bomb/gatling/shotgun/missile, in order of good to bad
Everybody talks about the good content but this vídeos are warm vs cold colors and is so fantastic that he use different colors to different ammo is just brilliant
The best way to utilize the ammo cannon was to use the gatling, with a shotgun, together with the bomb+missiles. This would generate 25 seeking bombs, which could either deal mass spread damage, or focus a single area to drill a large whole. Another devastating combo would be double missiles, gatling, and then shotgun. This would generate mass upgraded missiles, able to drill deep into the defense. The key thing to notice is that 2 gatlings or 2 shotguns won't have much effect, since 1 is the optimal amount to get the most benefit out of it.
I really really enjoyed that one!! I love that there are still combos that haven't been displayed yet, such as 4 of a single color. This left me wanting more!!
This is my first comment about you and I seeing these videos make me so happy and make me pick teams that would win a lot and that team I would bet a lot of words coming through my mind and my mouth and that means I'm talking to myself I mean
Element effects by order of unlock (improving upon Skiller50 General's explanation): *Missile:* Seeking shot that stays locked onto the core. Can hit multiple times. Stacking increases boost strength. *Shotgun:* A spread of five free-fired bullets. Stacking adds another 5 bullets per extra Shotgun marble. *Gatling:* A five-shot burst. Stacking adds another 5 shots per extra Gatling marble. When stacked with Shotgun, the spread effect is applied to all shots of the burst. *Bomb:* A shot that triggers an explosion on impact, destroying the hit brick and damaging nearby ones. Stacking increases blast range and damage. When stacked with Missile, triggers an explosion for each impact.
