So after messing around with this a bit, it seems the most reliable way to keep the boss aggro'd (even post 1.0) is to start the combat from outside of the range of the boss, and then you must STAY out of range of the boss. You can get the boss below half to get the enraged spawn rates, though you have to listen for the sound since you can't see the hp bar. Anyways TLDR this still works. But I'd say just go for materializers in the long run for farming as this is pretty finnicky

@@2ZPoint Yeah super early game, the stone mushroom brutes are extremely strong. Then midearly game hive mother for also getting vitality xp from killing the bugs, then definitely materializers late game.
Thanks! Maxed out like maxed maxed - 1. I usually create hardcore characters for new playthroughs, last one was killed by my wife exploding a bomb inside our base. So they usually don't last

Out of the blue: Imagine huge playtrough with 50 ppl on server but everyone is on hardcore~ Also any plans on making food guide? Like what gives what with green, blue and purple quality? Or Permanent Max HP foods alone.
i would suggest putting your chest with your items 2 spaces down and your repair station one space down, or building extra bridges off your bridge for it, just turning around and repairing is pretty nice
@@middlepyke He didn't mean they were limited, he meant that they dont spawn in super fast, even when Enraged, so the best thing to do is use a low damage, but fast weapon to kill them slower while still optimizing exp gain, if you kill them too fast, you'll have too much downtime, reducing the efficiency of the farm
Anyway, been doing it Nice setup But boss sometimes lose agro evebnon the designated point. Maybe cuz the larva keep blocking the path... But if we want that boss stays on 50% health without getting close is hard. Cant go afh then if we need to re aggro by getting closer.. =w=) 😅
Ayo new farm dropped~ I think You can farm on stone shroom bois even tho it says they have 810HP its a lot of hp by doing 1 dmg about 2 minutes 10 attacks per second They need like 5-10 seconds every 2 minutes to regen but give alot of levels in those 2 minutes. Be wary of fire damage on them cos' it bypass stone armor. Just trap them with 1 space digged ground and they won't charge at You. I've trapped 4. Added imagine but comment won't go trough with it so I dropped it. Have a nice day~ Also they are nice to exploit with Sea minions(cos' they do alot of hits per minute) and arcane staff (cos it's the fastest from magic i think(?))
Ps. They do die if You don't stop but it's way more effective than waiting for spawns tbh. PsPs. Obliteretion ray with 5 attacks per second works for Melee and Ranged at the same time, You don't need to consider nerfing Yourself for farming those cos' no matter what You'll do 1 dmg. and That's ALOT of 1 dmg attacks to do. PsPsPs. If You want You could join my world and see how i did it and how effective it is~
i build it myself the exact same way but i think they fixed it cause when you start attacking the adds the boss starts healing if you let them stack they stop at a special amount so it isnt afk :(
Not working in 1.0 version. 1st Boss can reach you with his shooting need to be 15 tiles away, 2nd he reset himself and stop spawning Edit: Ok i solved 1st. i my bridge was 1 tile above i mised one row, when i put bridge 1 tile downward it was ok, boss couldnt spit on me but problem 2 still persist kinda, solved it with wooden spike someone mention in comments so it stay aggro on me. Problem is boss die under 1h so its not infinite. How to solve issue that boss reset and heal up?
I think in 1.0 using materializers with big mushroom(who take 1 damage when protected) statue and 1 block gap so they can't charge you is much easier setup
You can, I literally just set it up, there is a range around the boss where the ground can't be dig up, but that doesn't matter cuz it is not the range of the farm set up.
@@atcJ the ground blocks can just be picked up, the range of the farm is the undiggable spots near the boss aka the 9ish radius circle around it, aka where you put the conveyer belts, you dig up where you can destroy it, if you have issues with the boss keeping aggro just add a wooden spike trap on where the boss spawns in order to continually damage it without killing it too fast, that way she keeps on spawning eggs.
