I had a bunch of people are not expendable government is stickers made and they are on almost every stop sign and unattended public works cars i can find
A-R maybe a band that punk's would group in with the crust/anarcho punk bands. But, the majority of those bands don't have the melodic sensibilities you hear in A-R songs. That's what separates them in my eyes definitely. They write great fucking songs that can make fans of all heavy/punk genre's. Be it a huge fan of NOFX or Bad Religion. A-R wrote tunes you'd enjoy. Also, a big fan of stuff like Nausea & Doom. A record like The Rotten Agenda would be something easy to get into... That's a huge difference between them & all those other "genre similar" bands have. Plain and simple, they wrote great music.
Melodic? Aus Rotten? The dude wrote the easiest songs ever. They’re not intricate at all, or melodic. I’ve never spent more than 5 minutes figuring any of their songs out. But easy catchy shit is great and memorable. The only difficult thing about Aus Rotten is their lyrics
LOL, the dude on the left came at us with a tire iron at a 98' WI punk fest over shit some other kid did. Kid got hit in the head with a thrown beer bottle and he went up to the girl yelling at her and asking why she did that, (he was being a smart ass to her and she got mad and threw the bottle) as she was backing up, he was walking up towards her and there was a tire behind her full of trash and they both tripped and fell in it. Next thing I know here he comes up to us with a tire iron, and we are all looking at each other like "Really dude?" as my boy tried to explain we had nothing to do with it and lets just chill and talk, we are all brothers here, dude responded with "You're not my brother" and Justus just stood there slacked jawed and threw his Aus Rotten shirt in the fire while Corey said to the kid who got hit with the bottle , he should cut off his arm cuz he had an Aus Rotten tattoo. It was BEYOND stupid. Could never listen to them again after that.
Dave and everyone else have the heart at the right place but it's saddening to see them still tirading about the huge strawman of so-called 'nazis', 'fascists' and 'white supremacists'.
you have to understand that even today, there are a lot of nazi assholes that go to a lot of punk shows. swastikas and SS tats and all. especially in the OC area.
