only one actually came out with the mfkr album in 1996 with anders as the vocalist and a lil different lyrics. there was also corey's version during the "crowz" era.
Corey is the BEST rapper of all the metal bands of the late-90's and 2000's. He rhymes words like Big Daddy Kane, multiple syllable rhyming. Fred Durst never did THAT SHIT! Slipknot is still as fresh as they were in 1999 though. I still have my "Wait and Bleed" single that was given to a friend from fucking Corey Taylor himself!!!! There's a reason why Tech N9ne tapped him to be a feature on his album and Tech was only semi-mainstream, at best. Corey still agreed to the track. Granted Eminem was on the same album, but Corey and Tech's song with Seven producing was AMAZING!!!
My favourite rapping verse from Corey is definitely on sic with favourite parts being at 0:46 and 1:12 (Not timestamps for the video but for the song itself)
to me this isn't regular rap style..its metal style rap which sounds so much better than hip hop rap...especially when they have a great voice (chad in mudvayne did this a little on LD50... especially in under your skin... i miss this style...hip hop has a gorgeous transition to metal if the artist knows what they are doing
Used to think this shit was so corny but you can catch me ghost singing, “I guess it's time to bury your ass with the chrome Straight to the dome You heard me right, bitch, I didn't stutter And if you know what's good, just shut up and beg, brother Backstab - don't you know who you're dissin'?”
