The Vegetation is different and there is much more green because you are on the other side of Greece.Ionian sea and every place on this sea is very green because its on the west Greece which has much more rains and the weather is more wet and is not that close in Africa and middle East areas.The rain that falls on these areas is much more yearly even of the rains of Great Britain.The amount of rains that can fall in just few ours its crazy and many times the visibility because of the rain is not more than 10-20 meters.There are even tornados and Typhoons.

Try to visit Messinia region.Its on the southern part of the Ionian sea and you can find also much green and huge olive fields,great beaches and waterfalls.Some great places on the region is Methoni,Koroni(and its beautiful beach and the castle),Finikounta,Pylos,Gialova and its long beach,Voidokilia beach,Kalamaris waterfall,Polilimnio waterfalls,Neda waterfalls,Kardamyli,Stoupa the capital of the region Kalamata and its really long beach

Back in 2020 I was lucky enough to visit Hydra, one of the Saronic islands of Greece . It was when travel opened up for a short time over the lockdown . Fabulous idyllic place . Definitely recommended. We flew to Athens and got a boat over to Hydra . Absolutely loved it. Sailed back over and then had a few days in Athens as well. We probably saw it at a quieter time because of the lockdowns so most people cancelled their holidays that year . We were so lucky ! Would definitely love to see Hydra again sometime 😊 Love your videos ! The best travel channel by far 👌

Wonderful and beautiful! There was a TV show/series called Tha Darells of Corfu,about an English family that moves there after WW1.It was fun and good and interesting.

Stayed in Corfu for 5mths twice over the years. Rented a 'non-holiday' long term house in up in mountains. I rented a quad for the whole time which i organised before leaving UK. Sandy beaches to be found but many are pebbled. I suggest swim shoes. Being part Greek, i remember colourful fish much like the Caribbean, when i was young. You'd be lucky to find a fish at all nowadays.. unless you deep sea dive. Paxos is amazing, you can get a boat over from Corfu Town and the twin beach up North Corfu - well worth a visit. One of the most beautiful islands in Europe - if not the world! I have been there three times and I can not wait to go back again. You have visited the islands in the Cyclades and the Dodecanese, now the Ionian Islands which are all different from each other. Corfu is known for its beaches but you can't miss the Canal d'Amour, where a natural passage created by the smooth rocks forms a tunnel to swim down.

If you wanna see more islands with a jungle like that then go to the northwest islands (kefalonia, zakynthos, lefkada etc) or the northeast islands (samos, thasos, lesbos etc). Or just visit the mainland which is also incredible, quieter, and cheaper. Cheers 👍

Cyclades are the dry islands and Dodecanese maybe. Crete and Saronic islands are both dry and green but the Ionian, Sporades and North Agean islands are much green

ok, this is what I can tell: we have been to corfu for 2 weeks, rented a car and had a look at nearly every corner of the island. This is what we found out: It is not nice everywhere! Don't go to the south or the north, go to the north east. First we stayed for some nights in the north west, but we did not like it very much, too windy. Then we found the best place to be: Kassiopi, nice little town north east, lots of restaurants, nice harbour, beautiful little beaches close by. We hired a boat there twice and this was the best thing we could do, being able to go to some lonesome beaches, doing a lot of swimming - perfect. Expensive but totally worth it. If I go there again, only to the north east, Kassiopi or I rent a house somewhere near by. And get a vespa for one or two days for driving around.

Best way to travel to small beaches on Corfu is to hire a small boat that you can drive yourself. I lived on Corfu for several years and we would often hire a boat as a family and take a picnic lunch with us. Wish I had known that you were going to be in Corfu as I could have hooked you up with beautiful and traditional accommodation for free.

Thanks Chris and Carol for this great video about some hidden gems. Just what i needed for my trip there in 2 weeks. I noticed some drone footage. Did you ask permission? Because the greek drone law seems very strict.
