Keep shooting these awesome videos. I view them prior to all my diecast purchases. Were you able to remove the Bombay door covers on the Lancaster dam buster version (A33625) ? I wanted to install the optional open Bombay doors included with the Lancaster.
Hi. I have a Mac Roberts Reply i purchased last week MB. Have since learned off the forums that the undercarriage on the first releases is too short by around 10mm. I have emailed Corgi to see if replacement correct height units are available for retro fitting
@@richardmarshall4322 Hi Richard, apparently mine is first issue, just emailed and spoken to Corgi (very helpful) and they are sending me (hopefully) the correct undercarriage.
@@diecastwingscollectors yeah that is a good thing lol, ive also been looking at another line, but not aviation, unless you count star wars ships as aviation.. for exactly that reason, the bandai model kits that just snap together.
Received my first model today! The corgi 60th anniversary Ginger Lacey Hurricane, absolutely love it, no more plastic kits for me!!, Definitely investing in more of these, can't believe the weight of it, even for such a small model, I did have a little mishap with one of the wheels (up version) for some reason I got it in my head that they folded down, even though I knew from seeing videos that they don't, so pulled at it and bent it a little bit, not too bothered to be honest, I'll probably display it with wheels down anyway. Can't wait to get more! I'm thinking a Red Arrows model I've seen is my next one.
I have 1:72 scale zeros at home but been wanting a avro lancaster. My question is if i got a 1:72 scale bomber would it be true to scale and be bigger then normal fighters or not?
@@tangy3366 1:72 scale means that the model is 72 times smaller than the real life thing. The real thing being 1:1 scale. Your 1:72 Type 97 bomber which I guess is a Ki-21 would always be bigger than a 1:72 Zero. If you were to get a 1:72 Lancaster then it would be in realistic scale with all 1:72 scale models, whether it's a plane, helicopter, car, tank, truck, animal, or building. A 1:72 Lancaster would be much bigger than a 1:72 Zero just like it was in real life. If you wanted a Lancaster to be a similar size to a 1:72 Zero then you would have to get something like a 1:144 scale Lancaster, meaning that the Lancaster would be 144 times smaller than a real one. In this video all the models are in 1:72; you can see how tiny the Blenheim looks compared to the Stirling. A 1:72 Zero would be even smaller than the Blenheim.
Just got "Gremlin Teaser" to complete my collection of Stirlings.But what a shock on opening the box,what have Corgi done! Gone is the safe solid interior,replaced by what i can only say is a cheap and nasty poly box,for a premium model its rubbish.why change a good well designed interior used on all the big bombers in the range,and i have 18 B17s,all with this good design,but if this is going to be the new norm,then no more for me,i am not paying all this money for models with delicate parts to be stored in a crap unsafe interior,its not on Corgi and its not right!
Also from what I understand much harder to get out without damaging - think the plastic inner has been a thing for a number of years now unfortunately - guessing cost comes in but the polystyrene did tend to rub off the paint so may also be a factor???
