More than 30 years ago, this basketball club began as the Ascot Community Uniting Basketball Club under the leadership of Beth Humphries, aiming to connect with young people in the local community. Over the years, the club thrived with numerous teams across various age groups. The U8/10 competition was a standout feature, with games held on Saturday afternoons at the Ascot Park church site on 5th Avenue.
In 2007, seeking support to continue its mission, the club received assistance from the Oaklands & Wesley Warradale Uniting Church. In gratitude, the club adopted a new name and uniform-The Corner.
