This comparison was recorded with a Gibson Memphis '63 ES-335 and a Two Rock Classic Reverb Signature. The reverb is from the amp, and the slapback delay from the Universal Audio OX.
Recorded with Universal Audio OX directly to Logic Pro X.

I think the Gladio has more upper mid bite and sounds more out in front whereas the Dude to me sounds more saturated, smoother and almost more fuzz-like.

Thanks for the demo. To me, Gladio sounds more clear and more articulated. Also, the option to have less compression is excellent. It will be a better choice in the mix/band scenario in my opinion. I would like to hear Gladio vs Zendrive.

The Dude is a great pedal (it's hard to find a J.Rockett pedal that sounds bad) but the Gladio SC is way more versatile. The Clean control and the Comp switch make a real difference. From Robben Ford to SRV.

For me the CS just has that little bit of something else to it. I’m digging the clean knob, and compression of it. I’ve been trying to decide between it and the HRM, this demo has made it easier. Thanks.

Yes it might have a higher noise floor. But just a little.

Both sound great for the Steely Dan lead-stuff ( but I do love a clean blend ) = Gladio. Nice comparison. oNe LoVe from NYC

I get that the Gladio is Robben’s current favourite dumble pedal for when he’s using back line, but the Dude sounds closer to his recorded tone for me, especially looking back to his “Talk to your daughter” era.

It seems the Gladio did not last much on his board. He was back to his Zendrive pretty quickly.

@@argbluesman yeah I noticed that. He had both for a while, but I think he dropped the Gladio almost a year ago now.
