I've been watching your videos and seems we started getting into the game roughly about the same time. I play at least 2 hrs per day (weather permitting) mostly with my gf. I can say that you are progressing very well and much faster than I am. The Scoreholio app is fantastic and love being able to track the progress, see charts etc. I haven't played the Roundholio/deka yet but will give it a go. Usually just play against the ghost at a "5" when I'm by myself. Your tilt bag is similar to my gf's throw and she misses to the right as well. My bag is flat, but has a nose down flight, which kicks left . Great for going around blocks, but will often kick off the board to the left. Slowly working on it with trying different grips, release etc. I started with a cheap set of Local Bag Gators, Cheetah Predators, Local Mambas and now throwing Reynolds Typhoon which I absolutely love so far now that they are broken in. Although the Typhoons are pretty terrible in humid or wet conditions. Keep the videos coming, love to see your progression!
I have some Typhoons as well, these Widow Rs are becoming my faves quick though. Thanks so much for following along, hopefully we both progress a lot over the next several months!
You also know you’re addicted to it when you’re throwing bags all over the house you find them under the bed under the kitchen table base of the stairs you have to be careful walking in their room might get hit with a bag very addicting and very much fun
Yeah my follow through is my downfall, I watch the pros but man it’s hard to keep consistent and throwing the flat bag is tough, subbed your channel, cheers from New Brunswick Canada 🇨🇦
Nice one my friend! Getting into Cornhole myself! Have enjoyed your videos! Uk boy here!;) to me you need to concentrate on the palm face flat at the at the release?? Looks like you let go just a little early why it’s tilting. Still good throwing man !
Another great video! I did notice something about your throw that I used to do too, if you want to, try putting your throwing arm closer to your body, just close enough that you don’t hit your leg but keeping it close may partly solve the throwing the bag to the right slightly issue, keep up the great work
Great Vid, I've been following your progress you're moving along nicely. It's been about 7 weeks for me just starting to creep up consistently above 4 ppr. Slow frustrating progress for sure but my throw mechanics are getting betting. I'm hoping to be at 6ppr before end of September.
Great vid. I started throwing better when I flattened the bag. Or I should say when I consciously try to throw a flat bag. An exercise: Try throwing higher to help flatten the bag. The higher release gives you more time to flatten ure hand before the release. Then once you have "the feel" you can slowly lower the arch. Also move closer to the board to start, if needed. The problem with the tilted bag is that when the corner hits first it hooks right sometimes. Then you go to compensate for the hook and it goes straight THAT time and is to the left of the board because the corner didn't hit first. It happened to you in the video and is all too familiar to me. Just my 2 cents.
@@cornholenoob yes I understand 100% And I do the exact same thing. My current theory is that when the corner hits first it hooks a little and when the side hits first it doesn't hook. It's very frustrating because sometimes it doesn't do it and sometimes it does
I try to throw a really flat bag by keeping the bag on my fingertips and pinching the top. In my hand it looks like a variation of the butterfly grip. If you want I can show you on Wednesday. I’m the kid from Lucky Lefties!
The ones I have scored 850 rounds 93 best score 7.2ppr total 6,116 bags since June 04, 2022. I like the bag breakdown to see which bag you throw better.
With the tilt to your bag you are basically throwing a cut which will go right. Have you tried the butterfly grip? I’ve found it flattened my bag out nicely.
When did you start playing? I've been playing a week only :D I'm sitting pretty at 4.4PPR at the moment but working hard. The thing I hate about the Scorholio app is that you cannot track your overall evolution of PPR... you'd need to have an excel sheet with the numbers.. but once you start, the app overwrites the old stats... so you wont know the numbers from the time before...
@@cornholenoob Update 5 Months after : Playing in the only club in my country now, throwing close to a 8PPR at times, 2x 4th places in tournaments in the Loser's-Bracket , 2 A-Bracket Quarter-Finals. Cant wait for spring so I can train outside !!!! Winter only allowed for 1 practice a week..
I am having a hard time determining "my style" of playing. I am fairly new as well from wanting to take it more serious. So I bought bags I felt how I wanted to play which was block/ push. But ultimately I am finding when I throw a good block bag I jam up the whole or just cant capitalize on points. I am almost blocking myself from scoring as well. Wondering if I should look for a more slide friendly bag. I went with the slide rites and Fire vengeance which I enjoy but I feel I have been favoring more of the fast side as my style of play isn't as successful with blocking. I know I need to work on airmails and other shots as well. I am just having a hard time of knowing if I should try a new set or stick with the ones I have. I really don't want to keep buying sets to then change my game until I really understand what I want to do? Not sure I am even approaching this the correct way. I feel you and myself are on the same path and looking to get more competitive in the sport. Probably best I just start getting to tournaments and meeting with more advanced players. But just curious your take on it.
It is a tough deal to figure out! I have "rebuilt" my pitch a couple times in just a few months. I have tried the block deal as well and I either completely miss the block or fail to push it in and jam things up as you mentioned. Going to some local tournaments has opened my eyes to the fact that many different techniques and styles can be equally successful. I have really taken to these widow r carpet bags, because they allow me to throw harder without fear of all of them going off the back lol.
