In this review we are joined alongside the incredible World Number 15 Hugo Calderano to review his latest personal blades with Cornilleau! The Hugo Calderano Foco blades which come in OFF- and OFF+ variations. They are both fully constructed out of wood. We recorded the video in the Ochsenhausen training facility where Hugo trains and plays for in the Bundesliga with players such as Simon Gauzy, Can Akkuzu, Sam Walker and more!
It was really exciting to take on Hugo with his own blade, the Brazilian star is sending shock waves across world right now, recently reaching the final of the Qatar Open defeating wonderkid Harimoto, China’s Lin Gaoyuan and current world number 1 Timo Boll.

I use the same blade and I love it. I use cornilleau's drive i intense on both backhand and forehand. I really enjoyed Hugo's backhand flick

Absolutely. Just advertising. No real info. … I love this blade... So fast... But great control... bla-bla-bla… How can it help to anybody? The only valuable peace of information is thickness and weight. But their are zillions other blades having these specs.

Nice video but I knew without watching the video that the blade would be "flexible, very good touch, fast, good for looping/blocking/serving/attacking/placing the ball" etc. Great content but obviously biased...

Is gergely T5000 with Dhs Hurricane 3 National for forehand and Rozena Butterfly for backhand is that a good setup? Cuz I have been using it and winning tournaments lately

Good timing for the advertising eh?:) Fair enough, where do you buy the Target Pro rubber? 4:28 BH down the line after wide block is insane. I try that in training - not an easy shot.

he is playing with Hugo power. If you can handle it looks better but when your oponnent is weaker (than hugo haha) you will see a lot easy mistakes.

Considering all that muscular power he puts into his shots, this blade (or rubber) must be dead slow. For simple mortals like us the ball wouldn't fly much. And hey, just 82 grams? Interesting to know what is the final weight of Hugo blade he uses in the tournaments.

Are you really doing a blade review with world n°15 on an outdoor table ? I can imagine it's the brand sponsoring the review that didn't want another table's brand and this one was the only Cornilleau available, but still...strange choice. Anyway great skills demonstration from Hugo.

Hugo is simply amazing.... what a player!!! I just have one problem....in some pictures and videos of hugo in qatar tournament you can clearly see that the blade is a dark plywood... he is not using the standard foco... why companies sell something that's not the true equipment used by the pro player? In this digital era it's not possible to fool everyone. You only need one person to realize something and post it somewhere... that's it. my only problem with any product you can think of is: don't tell me "this is exactly what (name someone) uses, you can purchase it here". And it is not. I hate that

Whatever it is he's playing with, I figure he'll soon change to a different one. Either blade or rubber... Have you seen how Pitchford beat him intimidatingly? Viscaria + Tenergy was a lot faster than Hugo's... And consider both him and Pitchford were both BH flickers.😉

He doesn't even play this blade and Dan knows it. Very disappointing. He plays an ABSOLUM OFF+ with the Foco handle plates attached. Dan should've pointed this out during the "review".
