This video is filmed in 4K and is part of a series...Cornwall, England, UK
We hope you'll relax, put your feet up and join us as we take you along to some of our favourite locations and some of Cornwall's most beautiful beaches, harbours and villages.
PART 6 - BOSCASTLE
From Carnewas Farm CL Campsite we make our way to Boscastle, which is one of our favourite places in Cornwall. Boscastle is a beautiful village and fishing port on the north coast of Cornwall that has so much character and charm, some unique shops and plenty of places to eat and drink.
We were staying in one of the fisherman's cottages next to the harbour a month or so before the devastating flood of 2004 and took photos of how the harbour used to look. Many places were flood damaged and took several months to dry out! Sadly the old 16th century 'Harbour Light' building was swept into the harbour where some of the window stones were recovered and used for the rebuild. Next door to the 'Harbour Light is the Museum of Witchcraft and Magic, and although damaged by the flood, survived. Miraculously no one lost their life!
PART 1 - HAYLE, GWITHIAN AND GODREVY
We base ourselves at Gwithian Farm Campsite, a friendly family run campsite in a great location, just 10-15 minutes walk from a fabulous 3 mile beach (at low tide). There is a pub serving good food and a bus stop close to the campsite entrance. In this episode we explore Gwithian Village, Gwithian Parish Church and of course the fabulous beaches of Gwithian, Hayle and Godrevy, all within 4 miles of the campsite.
PART 2 - KYNANCE COVE, LIZARD POINT, THE MINACK THEATRE AND PORTHCURNO
In this episode we are still based at Gwithian Farm Campsite and we travel to the beautiful Kynance Cove with its turquoise water, white sand, caves and fabulous coastal views. From here we travel on to Lizard Point with its dramatic cliffs shaped by the Atlantic, white beaches, flowers and turquoise sea. The following day we travel to Porthcurno, which is built around one of the most beautiful coves in the world. Porthcurno is famous for once being the centre of worldwide telecommunication. From here we travel half a mile along the road to the famous Minack Theatre, which is an open-air theatre, nestled on the edge of cliffs towering above the Atlantic Ocean, constructed above a gully with a rocky granite outcrop jutting into the sea. A woman called Rowena Cade designed the theatre and undertook a lot of the building and decoration herself with the help of her gardeners Billy Rawlings and Charles Angove. The theatre hosts a season of plays and musicals from March to November.
PART 3 - ST. MICHAEL'S MOUNT, GUNWALLOE, MULLION COVE AND BASSETS COVE
In this episode we are still based at Gwithian Farm Campsite and we travel to Marazion to film the amazing St. Michael's Mount. We then drive to the Lizard Peninsula to the beautiful beaches at Gunwalloe and then on to the lovely little harbour at Mullion. The following day we drive our motorhome along the coast road to Basset's Cove where we take a walk along the coastal path.
PART 4 - SENNEN COVE, BOTALLACK MINES, PORTHLEVEN AND CADGWITH COVE
We are still based at Gwithian Farm Campsite and from here we travel to the small coastal village of Sennen Cove with it's beautiful beach, harbour wall and Life Boat Station. We then move on to the Botallack Mines which are featured in the Poldark Television Series and are part of the Cornish Mining World Heritage Site, located on the 'Tin Coast' at St. Just. The next day we travel to Porthleven harbour, which was opened in 1825 and took 15 years to complete. The harbour is surrounded by cafes, shops, restaurants and several pubs. We then move on to one of our favourite places in Cornwall, the small, picturesque village and harbour of Cadgwith Cove which is made up of traditional thatched roof cottages and narrow winding streets that lead down to the harbour.
PART 5 - CARNEWAS FARM CL CAMPSITE, BEDRUTHAN STEPS, CONSTANTINE BAY AND TREVOSE HEAD
In this episode we move to a new campsite: Carnewas Farm CL which is a Caravan & Motorhome Club Certified Location (CL) site. This site has electric hookup and waste disposal facilities and is peaceful and very pretty. We base ourselves here for a week to explore the area. In this episode we explore Constantine Bay, the beautiful Bedruthan Steps and Trevose Head.

Thank you again for your lovely comments. Boscastle is one of our favourite places to visit in Cornwall. Every time we go we always come back with two mugs from the pottery! Thank you for pointing out the error in our title....now corrected.
