Poor Daniel? If he wasn't so fucking dumb and notice the signs that summer liked him right away then he could have nipped this in the bud right away she made it so obvious that she liked him by the way she was dressing and acting yet this clown was oblivious in what was going on

Weatherfield Police are always portrayed to be some of the dumbest police officers on earth. Look at the past storylines that this show has produced and the evidence is clear. More often than not, this police department gets it wrong, blatantly wrong. I’m always amazed at how the characters forget their own sordid past history and then they look down their noses at one another when situations arise. Paul’s character is cringeworthy.
I mean police aren’t that smart in general, and numerous police departments the world over have been proven and or documented to have framed innocent people, failed their jobs, got it wrong and convict the wrong people, and or missed lots of things, crimes and etc. They used to take old cold cases and then get lifers in prison to admit to the crimes to get better treatment, in order to bolster their figures and pretend like they were solving cases while the real criminals were left free to reign this is not new.

Hope this storyline discourages people from becoming teachers...that's the only way the ridiculous victim-centric laws will be changed. Summer wasn't groomed...she was a stalker with a crush.

F**k off, no he doesn’t. None of this is his fault, he’s more a victim in this than anyone else. Maybe Daniel and Summer shouldn’t have texted and he shouldn’t have given her a lift home but apart from that, Daniel doesn’t deserve to be punished.
